Shen's P.O.V

"Young Mistress has arrived!"

"Young Mistress!"

They all rejoiced, shouting to their lungs limit, with smiles plastered on their joyous faces. My heart swell at the image before me. Such joy was evident just from their Mistress coming home. I look at Lady Chen and I am sure that she was happy. She must've really missed her family. But, does she have any friends?

I am not making her look bad but with her anti-social skills, I might as well make sure.

Lady Chen smiles and walks. She looks at me, making sure I was following. We enter the massive manor. Its interior, suiting the family's taste. As I continue to walk while examining the place, I could not help but think to myself, 'this is so like General Chen'.

"Ho ho ho, my daughter has arrived."

General Chen appeared from the right corner. He has his signature smile on, showing his pearly white teeth. Lady Chen bows before her father engulfs her in a hug.

"I have missed you, my sweet daughter."

"Am I not sweet, Father?"

A lady came from the same corner General Chen came out from. She looked exactly like Lady Chen but their eyes and hair were different. She has brown eyes with raven hair. Though their facial features are identical and I might say, she is also a work of art.

"Spare me. I have just missed your sister."

Ah, sister. Lady Chen did mention that she has a sister. I observe the family and I can say that they are happy.

"Oh?" General Chen notices me first and puts Lady Chen down, letting her straighten out the creases the bear hug had brought to her clothes.

"G-good day, General Chen. I am-"

"Ah! You must be Shen?"

Lady Chen's sister cut me off. I could only smile and nod, feeling a little bit embarrassed. I don't know how to face her family. Should I smile? Should I only let them see the brave side of me? That I am powerful? And proud? Or should I be kind and humble? Gods, what am I to do.

"Shen? Shen? SHEN?" General Chen was fuming. Veins had popped beside his forehead.

I gulped. I have not done anything yet and there is already tension.

"Is something wrong, Father?"

"I have heard that someone was to bravely ask for your hand in marriage. I did not expect it to be this lanky wo-wo-woman."

Obviously, he hates the idea of marrying his sweet daughter to another woman. Where could he possibly heard such information?

"Father, if-"

"No. You are to marry the empress' son."

So he's my rival, huh? If he is the empress' son, he must be of high rank in battle and intellect. I should be on my guard and snatch Lady Chen away. Snatch, huh? How can I do that when I'm in the Chen Territory. I must've had a death wish.

"Father, I wish to be married to this woman."

The way she said woman definitely has poison in it. This family can be sweet to one another but they sure are savage to others. I pout inside my smiling expression.

"HORRENDOUS."

General Chen shouts. The ground shook with his anger.

"I will not permit you to marry this lowly woman."

Okay, my pride was hurt.

"General Chen, what do you want me to do for me to earn your trust?"

I stepped up. I was brave. But my legs were shaking so much. If only he was an enemy, that would be much easier. But he is Lade Chen's father and I need his blessing for me to marry his daughter.

"Impregnate my daughter."

My mouth hanged open. Lady Chen was embarrassed and had a blush on. Lady Chen's sister was also blushing but laughed. Impregnate? What? Did he give me permission to bed his daughter? Did he just do that? Wait, my head is spinning. What?

"Father!"

"A woman cannot impregnate another woman. Who will protect and give me an heir to the Chen Family?"

"You have another daughter, Father." Lady Chen speaks up.

"Woah woah. I am but still a young maiden that is yet to explore." Lady Chen's sister hastily argues back.

"My daughter," General Chen grabs Lady Chen's shoulder, looking into her eyes.

"I want you to be happy."

"Father, I am happy with her." Lady Chen swings her head to the side, glancing at me, smiling. I smiled back but my smile faltered when I saw General Chen's menacing glare.

I gulp.

"Very well,"

What does that mean? What does that mean? General Chen walks away but not without giving me one final glare.

"Hello,"

"Huh?"

Lady Chen's sister eyes me up and down, licking her lips when our eyes made contact. She smiles as if I am a prey.

"Who would've thought that I was right."

"Huh?"

I felt that she was talking to Lady Chen while looking at me. What could that be? Lady Chen's sister turns away from me and smirked when Lady Chen has this unexplainable expression on her face. It was a new face that I did not see.

Lady Chen's sister walks away, leaving me confused and bothered. Lady Chen grabs my hand and led me through the hallways.

"Is something wrong, Lady Chen?"

"No, nothing's wrong."

She opens the door and gets inside. She pulls me when I had no intention of coming inside. I look around the door and I instantly felt that it was Lady Chen's room. It was beautifully decorated. It has elegance painted all over. There were not many things but not too little. At the corner of the room, there stood an exhibit of swords.

"What are we doing here, Lady Chen?"

"I am to change clothes."

"Ch-change clothes?"

My mind instantly jumped to what General Chen said a while ago. I-impregnate. He surely did not know that I can really impregnate his daughter. He just did not know, right? Or was he just joking around?

"Your face says it all, Shen."

"Huh?"

I look at Lady Chen and her upper torso was already half bare. My eyes were wide at the supple breasts of my lover. Such pale skin, with an alluring seductive face. I hastily turn around, feeling hot all over.

"Shen," goodness. She's killing me.

"Y-yes?"

"Turn around,"

No, no. This must be a test.

"I-I can still talk w-while facing this way, Lady Chen."

Suddenly, frail hands roamed around my torso. I tensed and stiffened up. Her hands roam around my waist and stomach. She rests her chin on my shoulder, breathing on my exposed neck. I could not move. It was as if she was gripping on my body, poisoning me so that I could not move freely.

"Why are you so tensed up?"

It's because of what your damned father told me. Because of that, perverted thoughts came back to haunt me.

"I-it's manners to not look when a lady is changing."

"I am your lover."

*THUMP*

GODS, HELP ME.

"Y-yes, but we are not yet married for us to do-"

"Do what?"

I gulped.

"W-w-w-w-w-what married couples...." she brings her hand just below my breasts, "..do."

I let out a breath.

"Shen,"

"Y-yes?"

"I want to marry you, so you better pass whatever my father has planned for you."

Lady Chen was serious. Her tone was a little sunken and she had gripped on my clothes. I grab her gripping hands and spun around, looking into her eyes. All this time, she was afraid that her father might do something to me. She knew that if her father were to do something to me, I would not retaliate and that she can't do anything about it. I was at her father's mercy and it seems that she did not like that.

I kiss Lady Chen's forehead with all the reassurance that I can give. I hug her and she did the same. I inhaled her sweet scent and smiled.

"I will do everything that I can."

I look at Lady Chen and cupped her face. She was definitely the most beautiful woman I had ever met. She was unique and strong. I will protect this woman even if it costs me my life.

I kiss her gentle lips. It was as if the entire world stopped just for us to share this moment. I break away our kiss and looked into her eyes. She was vulnerable. My heart stopped. She was vulnerable all this time. Now that I had broken her walls and infiltrated her life, she was afraid that it might not be. She needed a knight. She found no one. She was her knight. She found me. A villain that became her knight.

"Lady Chen,"

"Hm?"

"You're mine."

Her eyes slowly went wide, tears well up, threatening to pour down. She smiles a little wider than usual and hugs me tighter.

After our moment in her room, I was horrifyingly face to face with General Chen. He had this angry look as he chew on his food. We were only four here but there were a lot of maidservant to attend any of them if they needed something. I could not bring myself to eat as General Chen's eyes did not leave me.

"Why are you not eating? Here,"

Lady Chen puts a piece of beef on my plate which angered General Chen further. I sulked on my chair. This was not what I had intended nor planned. I was supposed to sweep General Chen off his feet with my greatness. Where did all that go?

"My daughter, how was your Master Zhao?"

"The Great Master Zhao?"

"I have already told you everything on the letter."

"Eehh, but it wasn't enough."

"What about the battle of you and the heavenly bird?" that piqued my curiosity.

"Such information is being leaked. Where have you gotten that, Father?"

"It has already spread across the country."

Hmm, who could have spread it? It was supposed to be not public until we were sure who the culprit was as to not alarm the higher ups.

"I did not make a dent on the heavenly bird, Father."

"Then who could it be then, Sister? You serve as a witness."

"It would be Master Zhao," General Chen says proudly.

Lady Chen looks at me and I only shook my head. She sighs and continued eating, not minding her father and sister.

"By the way, dear suitor of my sister,"

"Hmm?" all eyes shifted on me.

"Can I call you sister too?"

"Sure, why not."

"And, you can call me sister-in-law."

"BLASPHEMY." General Chen had thrown glare daggers that can kill on my direction.

"I-I, uhm, i-isn't that too soon?"

"I root for you." she winks at me. I look at Lady Chen, hoping for help but she has her eyes closed, eating, but her face was reddened.

"E-excuse me,"

I walk away fast, wanting to escape the grip of General Chen on my neck. I sigh. I took my time walking around until I came across a pond with a bridge on the center. It was almost dark. I took a seat on the wooden floor, letting my feet hang. I was hungry. I did not eat because of General Chen's stare.

The wind brushes against my skin. Now that I think about it, why is the pond not frozen? It should be frozen by now. I needed to quench my curiosity. I jump on the ground and walk towards the bridge.

"Oh,"

"You're different from everyone else, aren't you?"

I turn around and saw Lady Chen's little sister. I should be cautious around her. If not for her, General Chen would have not been pushed to the edge.

"How so?"

"I can see that you've figured out the magic behind this pond."

"It is simple, is it not?"

She walks towards me until she was standing beside me. She looks on the pond.

"Not many understand."

"Hmm,"

"I have told my sister before she had embarked on her journey that she will meet someone that will sway her heart and that it will be,"

"Be?"

"A woman."
