"I heard some grapevine about her using you too," Jericho answered.

My hand gripped hardly to the edge of the dock. My teeth gritted ever so tightly as I asked him back. "Who told you that?"

"Nadine did," he said.

"What?" I asked, but I know he heard me because he raised his head and looked at me.

"Yeah, she told me that you two used to be together, but you broke up," he explained.

"What else?" I asked.

"And she told me that you have been with her since then. She also told me that she knows you loved Cloe and were still in love with her. She said she pitied you, for how many times that Cloe hurt you her being so manipulative and pretentious, you can easily get caught in the loop."
