My new friend

It's been awhile since Fr. Monteverde surprisingly visit our house, and also it's been awhile since I befriended a boy named Heli.

Heli is a skinny boy with a pair of bluish- golden color of eyes paired by a ash- golden color of soft and silky hair partnered by a flawless pale skin. He lives at a small house near the entrance of the Shun forest.

Shun forest is the closest forest in covenant town, and by the word itself based on Covenant's urban legend they connect the word "Shun" through the forest for us to avoid coming closer to it. Shun based on our beliefs is the God of Death, and that forest is believe to be the place wherein Shun's spirit is lurking around.

Numerous stories from other villagers states that they saw a heavy build coated man with a huge sword that will mercilessly chase you when he saw you inside the forest, others said that they saw a big guy chained in a old big tree in the center of the forest.When you saw him he will beg for you to set him free of being chained, and when you set him free he will slashed you three times as a thank you gift of letting him untied, and if you don't help him he will scream so loud that the sound can be heard from the other towns; and then it will hysterically move towards you and then eat you. That's why my parents also warned me to not go any closer from that Forest.

My parents are glad to see that I already have a new friend, they even let Heli have a lunch with us. They interviewed Heli about a lots of things but never ask about his family background I guess they also don't know about his long and legendary name, Heli happily answered all of it, and after that I let him hold my other teddy bears except from my bunny toy and enter my room. I guess my family is comfortable of Heli being around, I grab the opportunity of knowing Heli more.

He's easy to be flustered, he loves sweets and hates bitter the most, he also love teddy bears which attracts me, he also know how to play guitar like I do.

The more I spent my time with him the more I realize that we have so much in common, that makes me to be comfortable with him. I even gave him one of my favorite teddy bear as I token of friendship; we named it as Caramel since he love sweets so much.

I also realized that his not showy of how he really feels, but his doing some mannerisms that will serves as the hint of what he wants to say or how he feels, One of the examples are when his shy or glad he always holds his neck, when he lies he touch his hair, when his disappointed, sad or tense he scratch or point his two thumbs repeatedly while facing his two hands together, at first I don't really care about it but as I learned about it I eventually understand him more and read him like a book.

As days passed Heli visits our house at the time duration of 2-5 of the afternoon, and after that he will utter his goodbyes and say that he will visit again the next day. I've been used to our routine every day, and I don't even bother to ask why he always arrive at exactly 2 pm and left at also exactly 5 pm. I always excitedly wait for him to arrive and will pensively looks at his eyes when we departed, and every night I wished that tommorow will have the longest afternoon so that I can play with Heli a little bit longer.

Another day is filled with happiness for I get to see Heli again, we played non-stop and sing our favorite lullaby that mom teaches us. We laugh and play with our teddy bears, I also let him hold my bunny toy but in just a short time.

Father also teach both of us to play chess and he was ridiculously furious when both of us successfully defeated him in just 5 minutes.

After a short while the clock starts to ring, it's already 5 pm. Heli immediately stood and bow in front us.

"I'm so sorry, I still want to know more about chess but I guess it's time to go." he said while bumping his two thumbs, I bet his also sad about the time ticking so fast.

"It's ok Sehra you can visit again tomorrow." my father stand and tap his head and give him a warm smile, he also respond by smiling back.

"Yes that's right! I'll make some strawberry puddings that you'll surely love! make sure to be here in time or else Ardent will eat it all." mom said while laughing at me.

"I told you I hate strawberry pudding!" I pout that makes the three of them laugh.

"Yes aunty Isabell and uncle Julius I'll make sure to come here on time! I can't wait to taste those puddings." he said happily, he both hug my parents and directly walk towards the door.

"Be careful in your way home." I said while walking beside him.

He cheerfully smiled at me, "Yes I will! make sure to eat your dinner and sleep in time Denden." he said while patting my head that makes my ears heat up, he also utter the nickname that he created just for me.

I don't know when did he started calling me Denden he said he got it from my name Ardent and excluded the A,R,and T, but whenever it is im glad to have a nickname that is created by my favorite person; I'll be glad to use it for the rest of my life.

"You don't have to say that, of course I will." I rolled my eyes as I move his hands away from my head.

He chuckled, "HAHAHHA of course you would! I'm just reminding you, either way I'm not always here to be with you and to protect you. You should be extra careful." he said while giving me a wide smile. His always like this, saying his farewells as if we will not be able to see each other tomorrow.

He gently holds the doorknob, as he slowly open the door and take his first step outside the house he paused and turn back on me, to my surprise he suddenly run towards me and hug me tight.

"See you again ..... Denden.... let's play again next time." he said with a low painful voice, that gives me chills.

He didn't let me talk back or even ask questions, he immediately run outside until I can't see his shadow through the horizon.
