It seemed after that day that Elizabeth and Joe fell into a regular routine, lunches, and dinner as many times a week as they could. Joe worked from the office rather than spending all his nights alone in his darkroom. He didn't feel the urge to be alone as much anymore. He showed up at all the governor's functions and meetings and since it was an election year, they were frequent.
Elizabeth had started staying at her parents' house more during the week, and her parents liked it that she was around more. Elizabeth's roommate in the city didn't mind either, as she had their place all to herself. Joe and Henry loved it too because Elizabeth started coming over and having dinner pretty regularly.
