The Blood Experiment

The next day, as the sun began to rise, its golden rays pierced through the gap in the cave, casting a warm glow on the young couple nestled against the rough cave wall. The man, Desmond, had a cascade of dark brown hair that flowed over his shoulders, unmistakably his defining feature.

As Desmond's magenta eyes slowly fluttered open, his vision remained hazy, but he felt a soft and comforting presence pressed against his body. With a smile, he turned his gaze towards the figure beside him. "I'm relieved to see you're safe, but time waits for no one."

Under the vast blue sky, accompanied by the cheerful melody of chirping birds, the morning light struggled to penetrate the cave's entrance, obstructed by a massive stone. Gradually, pebbles began to dislodge from the stone, falling one by one, until the entire obstruction crumbled away, unveiling the outside world. Bright sunlight poured in, momentarily blinding Desmond.
