Let me drive!

The team soon came out of the house and now were waiting for Jake and Dayal to return.

Sam and Mon could not stay there waiting so they went to see where these guys were leaving sid behind.

Jake followed him the whole way till the main gate but couldn't find find him . The person disappeared from the the place as if he was not even present there.

"Jake! " Mr.Dayal called from a distance.

"Aah… I think I lost him. "

Jake replied.

"It's okay. We will find him. "Dayal said putting his arm around Jake.

Sam and Mon came running towards them.

"What? "Mon asked.

" Nothing, I lost him. "Jake replied.

" Are you sure he was the one who attacked you? "Sam asks.

" I don't know. We will see it. "

He answered.

"Where is Sid?" Mr. Dayal asks looking around for him.

"He is still waiting there. He did not believe when Jake said he found the attacker. " Mon said.

"He only believes proofs. Solid proofs! He does not trust people… " Sam tells but is interrupted by Mon who puts her hand on her back as a signal to stop.

Sam immediately stopped.

"What is it? " Mr. Dayal asks, looking at Sam.

"Aah… nothing. We can go back now. We need to go to the police station as well. "

They joined Sid in the car and drove directly to the police station.

Jake's POV;

I am sure I saw him but then suddenly he was not there. I don't know if he was the one who broke into my apartment that day but only if I had seen his face somehow..

Mr. Dayal has a satisfied smile on his face and I can tell how relieved he was to put that monster into jail. He has suffered enough and now he deserves this. Not only him but the whole team has got that one satisfied look today.From the very beginning till the previous night we all had that same look.Even though this is not the ending if this case as we still need to find the murderer one thing was obvious that 'the last mission' is actually over now.At least I know that.

One more thing that I am really worried about is my true identity. I don't want Mr. Dayal and the team to not trust me. I know somehow, someday it will reveal but not now. The minister and his brother know about this but even if Mr. Dayal tells Mr. Dayal he will not believe it until I confess it myself.

I don't want to repeat the same mistakes again. I don't want to regret my decisions once again and just want continue leaving the way I'm now. Even if this is not what I actually deserve but still I am happy. Though all those years of hard training and physical labour has gone in vain now, it's much better than being a servant.

Jake was distracted from his thoughts when the car suddenly pulled off in front of the police station.

They entered the room to see the culprits sitting in front of the officer. Kunal was standing just beside them. They played the recording once again that the policeman did before to check if everything was correct. One of the officers came up to the desk where Mr. Dayal and his team were waiting. He was the same officer who pretended to be one of the bodyguards.

"Hello Sir. I'm officer Adi Goenka. I wanted to thank Mr. Jake Oberoi for being so cooperative in this case. Mr. Dayal we are really thankful to you too. " He implored.

"You should also thank Kunal for this. If it was not him who came up at the right time with all the officers we would have caught them. " Jake added.

"Yeah sure. But I also wanted to ask if you have any other clue. We can't just depend on the recording"

"We have to find it in his house itself. " Sid suggested.

The officers allowed them to go for an investigation.They left the station soon after their discussion with the officer.

It was almost 1AM and the road was pitch dark. Sam and Jake had to take the longer way because of some construction going on on the other road. This road was a little isolated with almost no cars.

Sam pulled in near a petrol station. They didn't have dinner because of all the things that happened last night so she brought some snacks and water from the nearest store.

Jake was leaning on the car as he patiently waited for her.

"Let me drive." He said as soon as he saw Sam.

Sam cocked an eyebrow at him.

"Why?" She answered abruptly.

"Let me drive. "

" You think I am tired? No,I am fine. I will drive the rest. "She said with a smile.

Jake laughed and then said" No.. Not because of that but I just wanted to! "

Samantha's cheeks went pink. Shri quickly handed him the keys and ran towards the other side to hoop in the car.

Jake started the engine with a smirk on his face as he watched Samantha stuffing her mouth with chips.

"Your food is not going anywhere. Eat slowly. " He said.

"Yeah. I'm just too hungry. "

They drove through the same road with woods on the side.

"Hmm.. Have! " Sam holds a chip in front of Jake's mouth. He immediately eats it.

"We have to be there by 10 am tomorrow. " Sam stated.

"Okay." He answered.

He opens his mouth to say something else but then stops. Sam saw him spacing out so she asked what he was thinking.

"Nothing" He answered.

"What is it? Don't tell me you are getting weird calls again? "

"No " He chuckled.

"Then? "She asked to eat another chip.

" Umm…. I saw Sid staring at you while we were talking. Did you two fight or something?" He asked.

"Oh… Aah. When did he.. "She stuttered.

"While we were at Mr. Hussain's house. " He added.

"I don't know. "She mumbled.

" He was staring at me too. Actually he has been giving me those looks since I shifted to that apartment. "

"Then it's not just me."

"No… but that day he asked me if I was okay in that apartment the other day. He's quite caring I guess. " He said laughing.

"He can never care about others but himself. " She stated.

"You have been talking like you know him since ages, Sam! " Jake blurted.
