A Shift in him

The obsidian eyes flickered towards the closed door and sighed loudly.

"How… How long has it been?" His voice croaked, still embarrassed from all the stupid stunt he did. The female Alpha didn't seem to care about it all because her mind was particularly occupied with another issue. She was looking so intensely at Jian Yu, but at the same time, she wasn't.

"Half an hour, more or less," Mika said. He stood up and straightened his uniform down with his gloved hands. He had shed off the heavy armor he wore, leaving it on the side along with Clement's.

"Tournament… What about it? Don't you guys--"

"We took our draws earlier and guess what?" There was something in Mika's voice, a dry amusement of sorts, that caught Jian Yu's attention. "My opponent is the finest Lady of Zero, how ironic."

"A friend and a foe, there is no longer a line between them." Mika sniffed, not without a hand on his heart as he sighed dramatically.
