Chapter 48 - Electricity

Training -eating-sleeping, training-eating-sleeping, that way two months passed. Nothing spectacular happened. Rather, she was used to running for almost five hours without panting like a pig.

Reya sighed and glanced at Clive, who was dancing around. "Don't you have any pity on me?" she pulled her hair out of her face and peered at the tank again.

"Darling, it's all for your good," he said with a dazzling grin.

Reya gritted her teeth and glanced at the huge fish tank in front of her. Till date she had been only training her resistance but just last day Clive has informed that he had found something new to help train her powers.

"Where is your amazing creation?"

Clive frowned and glared. "You are looking at it,"

"I am looking at a fucking fish tank. How is that supposed to help me train?" Reya exclaimed. she actually was looking at a huge fish tank. It was at least five feet with water filled halfway up. 'This guy has finally gone crazy,'

Clive noticed her glare and snickered. "Haven't you heard of hydro treadmill? tsk, such a country bumpkin,"

"Hydro treadmill? Isn't that an underwater treadmill? wow its awesome! Dude, did you make it yourself?" Reya rushed over to it and glanced in. unlike a normal treadmill it did not have the running platform rather it had huge cylinders connected to the tank. There was a small hand rest as well.

"It's fully customized for you. The rods you see are made of titanium, the glass made of reinforced bulletproof glass. You can use your powers with ease." He said whist cleaning his glasses.

"Cool! Shall I hop in?"

"Be my guest," He gestured to the stairs.

Reya smirked and hopped in. The water was quite warm, but still cold on her skin. It came to right above her waist so that it was easier for her to just bob around. "This is amazing!" she squealed again.

"Try running," Clive said with a smirk.

Reya nodded and did as said. She first started running slowly. Running in water felt quite different from running on land. It had a lot more resistance, and it was harder for her to run normally. 'Let's try using super speed,' she grinned and accelerated her legs. Soon her legs became vague shadows underwater. The rollers were quite sturdy enough to hold all the momentum.

"This is amazing," Reya shouted out loud.

Clive was too busy checking the wires connected to the tank to answer her.

"What are those wires for?"

"Electricity," he whispered unconsciously.

"What! Electricity?" she halted her runs and glanced at him with her eyes wide open. 'Is he going to electrocute the water? Oh my god, what have I gotten myself into,' she thought, holding her head. "haha, this is good, but I prefer running on ground," she whispered and tried climbing out but he smacked her hands away.

"Stay in. You have to run for almost five hours again," he whispered with a huge smirk.

'This sadist, he is definitely going to electrocute me!' she gulped and whispered, "Can you lower the electricity at least..."

Clive glanced at her as if she was a one brain cell organism. "How can I lower it? Are you stupid?" he whispered with ah frown.

"You have the dial right... waah don't be too mean, I can't handle too much pain so reduce the voltage," she shouted.

Clive halted everything he was doing. He crossed his hands and glared at her. "What are you implying? I really have no clue what is going on in that walnut brain of yours," he said. He went back to check the wires that were connected to the tank. Only then did her word made sense. "Did you think I was going to electrocute you?" he whispered with his mouth agape.

"Yes! You are connecting wires and said something about electricity," she whispered doubtfully.

"So you assumed that I was going to electrocute you? wow, you really are dumb," he said pulling his glasses from his nose. He saw her pitiful expression and sighed. "I'm not electrocuting you but creating electricity FROM you," he explained.

Reya paused. "All that force is creating electricity...that is genius," she whispered with a huge smirk.

"Yeah yeah, you don't have to praise me so much after cussing me as a sadist," Clive mumbled and walked out the room.

Reya pouted. "Reya, you should not jump to conclusions," she told herself and started her training.
