As if they wanted to give us some alone time, everyone left the hall except for the two of us present in the room. They all shifted to the dining room.

( Why have they all left all of a sudden?)

" Miss Ying Yue, it seems as if they read the mood and give us some alone time". The emperor suddenly said but I couldn't understand exactly what he meant by that phrase.

" Huh?"

" I didn't only come here because my son missed you dearly". He said in confession.

( I figured as much!)

" What else brought you here then, your majesty?" I inquisitively asked the emperor.

" I wanted to talk to you".

( For some reason, I think I can guess what he wants to talk about).

" What is it about?"

" It's regarding your resignation, Miss Ying Yue. Why have you resigned?" He shoots the question right at me.
