Bloodlust

Jasper had stayed in his tent for several days. His meals, being sent to him. While he stayed in the tent he didn't waste his time and chose to exercise. He was trying to build his strength while waiting for his sentence. If he needed to run he wanted to be prepared.

He was doing push ups when Thomas and Ryan walked into his tent. He stopped and dropped to the ground unable to push himself up from his position. He then rolled over and sat up looking at them. He was trying to keep his calm as he knew they were going to tell him the sentence. The looks on the others' faces made him nervous and he stood.

Thomas spoke looking at him, "we have the masters verdict." Jasper nodded softly looking at him. "The verdict is you will continue as is. We are not allowed to spears the news of your change of soul." Jasper blinked, "really?"

Ryan nodded, "yes. Also Grandmaster is having me and my brother continue to stay by your side. His reply to your change was that you are still his grandson Jasper." Jasper looks at his perplexed, "but I'm not. Why is he so…?" Ryan chuckled, "it's because you still have the memories of the original Jasper. And, He is right. You are still Jasper."

Jasper looks at him shocked. He didn't know what to say to that. He wasn't the same person yet they accepted him so easily. For what; because he had the memories of the body's previous owner? That just made no sense to him. He was a completely different person. He had not the same Jasper that they knew, yet they accepted him as their own Jasper.

Ryan asked, "so I am curious. What was the world you came from?" Jasper blinked, "um.. well it wasn't technically inclined. We focused on magic and strength. The strong lived and ruled while the weak died at the whims of the strong." Ryan blinks, "really? Were you strong?" Jasper nodded, "I was the strongest"

Ryan asked, "wow, really? Did you rule that world?" Jasper nodded, "yes…" Ryan asked, "how did you get so strong?" Jasper spoke, "I trained for a few thousand years when I had been locked away" Ryan paused, "locked up? For a few thousand years? Why were you locked up? How old were you when you died in that world"

Jasper sighed before grudgingly saying, "I was locked up for killing at random. I don't know exactly but roughly a hundred thousand years…" Ryan blinked, "wow that old… wait killing at random?" Jasper nodded, "Yeah.. I love to.. kill…"

Thomas commented, "Well then good thing you are going to the battlefield soon. You can kill the enemy to your heart's content." Jasper looks at him shocked, "You're not concerned about that?" Thomas shook his head, "Between the fact I've felt your bloodlust and the fact, our army has many blood hungry fools.. I'm not in the least concerned."

Jasper blinked, "Oh… though if I were to tell you what you felt before wasn't my true amount of bloodlust what would you say?" Thomas blinked, "that wasn't your full bloodlust?" Jasper shook his head, "I didn't even realize any. A tiny bit escaped…" Thomas blinked, "are you serious?" Jasper nodded, "yeah.."

Thomas blinked, "Would you release your full bloodlust for us to feel?" Jasper blinked, "Um.. I don't think that's such a good idea." Thomas spoke, "Ok. Though I'm fairly sure we can handle it. So go ahead and release your bloodlust." Jasper nodded softly, "ok if you say so..."

Jasper then focused and released his bloodlust. He immediately retracted it as he saw the looks on the two men's faces. They had looks of pure terror and looked as if they had been nearly killed. They were deathly pale and shaking slightly.

Jasper spoke, "I guess that was too much.." Thomas spoke as he wiped his face of the sweat that formed on it. "I have never felt such bloodlust in my life. It was so thick it felt like I was suffocating in it. If you unleaded your bloodlust against an enemy army I think many would just up and die" Jasper blinked, "oh.."

Jasper looked at them before looking away. He then heard a commotion outside the tent and looked up. Thomas looked at him then shook his head softly and went outside the tent. Jasper followed him out, uncertainly. Once outside the tent he could see soldiers running about and several heading towards his tent.

Jasper blinked, "Ops. My bad. I didn't mean to cause a commotion…" Thomas chuckled, "pay no mind to it. It's no problem. You actually managed to get those lazy bums over though coming for us to get up and come outside for once."

Jasper looked to the large men that had symbols of high ranks as they walked over. He watched as they approached. He then looked at Thomas and Ryan. They both had regained the color in their faces and watched calmly as the three large men walked over.

One of the large men spoke, "What the hell was that? I felt that bloodlust and from what I've been told it came from this tent so which one of you caused this?" Thomas spoke, "Sorry sir it wasn't on purpose and we were trying to get Private Jasper accustomed to the force of bloodlust the enemies would attack him with."

The large man asked, "what happened to cause such a large and dangerous bloodlust?" Thomas spoke, "Mine and sagent Ryan's bloodlust combined for a moment for some reason and so that happened." The man blinked, "be careful next time. I don't want anyone to panic in my base." Thomas nodded, "Yes sir. It will not happen again"

The large man nodded and turned leaving with the other two large men. Jasper stared at Thomas, shocked, his jaw slack. He had never expected Thomas to take the blame for his bloodlust. Thomas looked at him and smiled commenting.

"It's easier to explain that then why a young kid like yourself who has never seen war has such potent bloodlust." Jasper nodded softly, "oh.. uh.. thanks.. I think.."

He didn't know what to say. He had never had anyone cover for him. Today was extremely unusual. He had people helping him and accepting him as himself and not harping on his love for killing. He felt a ting of warmth in his chest and had no clue what it ment. He just knew from now on he had some people who didn't hate him for his personality and who he really was.
