When Maddy woke up she didn't know where she was at first. She wiped her eyes and looked at the room and nothing clicked. It took her a second to remember where she was. David's.
Out of curiosity and fright, she looked under the covers to find that she was still wearing the same clothes as last night.
Thank God
Maddy let out a long breath before she stood up and got out of bed. She poked her head out of the hallway to see Natalie sitting in one of the barstools in the kitchen. Before Maddy could even say anything, Natalie had turned her head in Maddy's direction and waved at her.
Maddy smiled and walked towards Natalie. She was in the middle of having a spoonful of oatmeal when Maddy sat down next to her. Maddy's mouth watered at the smell.
OATMEAL OATMEAL OATMEAL
"Gooooood morning Madeleine." Natalie grinned.
"Morning Natalina." Maddy replied.
"Do you want some oa-" Before Natalie could finish Maddy nodded rapidly.
Natalie laughed and pointed to the stove where a pot of fresh oatmeal was waiting for her. She speed-walked towards it and helped herself to a bowlful.
"Take as much as you want. David never eats of it any and I'm stuck with all the leftovers." Natalie sighed.
"I'm about to change that." Maddy said, pointing a finger.
It was quiet between the girls...too quiet. Maddy soon realized why.
"Where the hell is that boy anyway?"
"He might be in the yard playing with his flamethrower again." Natalie says rolling her eyes.
"Only one way to find out."
Maddy and Natalie got up and walked towards the glass door that led to the backyard where they did, in fact, see a scruffy-haired, skinny boy whirling his flamethrower around.
"What a child." Natalie said in a grim tone.
A moment later, David turned and saw the two girls staring at him through the glass. He waved, and the girls waved back, before returning to the kitchen. Natalie put both bowls in the sink and rinsed them.
Maddy pulled out her phone, that was still somehow in her pocket, and checked the time. She didn't need to see what time it was since a reminder popped up that said "bikini shoot with Riley". To top it all off, it was at noon, it was already 10:42, and the drive was going to be 45 minutes. An hour of there was traffic.
Since Maddy was a panicky person, she wanted to get out of here ASAP. So, she thought of a plan.
"Nat, do you guys have any paper?" She kindly asked.
"Yeah." Natalie responded walking into her room to bring out a piece of printer paper.
"What do you need it for?"
"Well, since I'm stupid, I forgot that I had a shoot today....and if I stay any longer...I'm going to be late....so, I'm writing Dave a note." Maddy explained.
"Oooh, a successful girl who can be mysterious too? I love it." Natalie joked.
The two laughed and Maddy folded the note and left it on the pool table. The front had David's name in all caps so he wouldn't be able to miss it.
"Alright, well, I'm off." Maddy grinned holding her arms out for a hug.
Natalie accepted and said goodbye to Maddy, but on Maddy's way out Natalie called after her and said, "I HOPE YOU TWO DIDN'T GET TOO CRAZY WHILE I WAS OUT!"
"CHRIST SAKE NATALINA." Maddy laughed, running out of the house.
*An hour later*
Maddy ran into Studio 20 and let the magic commence.
