An enjoyable date.

Aurora took a sip of her red wine, she just finished a wonderful and delicious meal.

She was having a good time away from all the work at A&T corporations, as for the date?

She doesn't even care about it, not even a bit.

It's just a formality for Aurora as her father requested it from her.

And it's visibly apparent that Kieran Johnson thinks the same.

They had small talks and some probing to found out things about themselves just for the sake of this 'date'.

After all, they both have to answer to their father when they go back home from this date.

So a little bit of information to feed the organisers of this date is in order.

While Aurora was assessing Kieran, Kieran was doing the same to Aurora.

"So Ms Blood is still a student while working for the A&T corporations?" Kieran said.

"It's not the headquarters of A&T corporation but a branch here in Country O." Aurora corrected Kieran in response.

"Yes, this year will be my final year in high school before further majoring in business at Carson Quinton De'ville Business School."

"School will start soon starting next month, but I think I will not be able to attend much of school since I'm managing the A&T branch." Aurora said, there was a hint of tiredness in her voice thinking about her schedule juggling of School-Work-School-Work.

It's depressing to think about it, her schedule is a mess trying to fit her School and Office work.

Detecting Aurora's tiredness in her voice just talking about her school and work life, Kieran thought the girl in front of him has it tough.

"It must be tough, managing the company while studying? Since this year is your final year the pressure and stress must be higher than before."

Chuckling, Aurora replied.

"Tough is an understatement! It takes quite an effort and discipline to work in a company where everyone sees you as a child given a toy to play with. I'm still in my teens, not just my employees but the business partners and the company's competitors treat me like a joke."

"..." Kieran.

"Still, it's nothing special. With a bit of hard work, discipline and ambition anyone can do that." Aurora said taking a sip of her wine.

"Well, not everyone can do that while still being in high school, Ms Blood." Flipping an imaginary table in his mind, Kieran replied.

It is true, Kieran is a genius.

Maybe he is on par with Aurora.

Still, he had to work his ass off to be where he is today.

But the way Aurora said it? It makes it sound so easy and effortless that Kieran almost flipped the table they were sitting at.

'Narcissism much but still tries to be humble!' Kieran thought.

"I suppose so."Replied Aurora.

"Well, how about you Mr Johnson? It is really surprising but you don't want to compete with your brother? After all, people tell tales of you having talents in business being on par if not better than my mother the 'Ironblood Queen'."

"..." Kieran.

Kieran's mood took a 180 turn hearing Aurora. But he didn't show it on his face.

"Not really, I'm not interested in being the head of the Johnson or the 'Blood throne'." Replied Kieran taking a spoonful of his chocolate fudge pudding.

"Why not? You are a genius, Mr Johnson! You have the talent and some support even though it is not much." Aurora raised her eyebrows in surprise, learning it's true that he did not lie about not wanting the 'Throne' or even less be the head of the Johnson family.

"Isn't it a waste then?" Said Aurora, feeling a bit disappointed that a genius and talented individual like Kieran isn't using himself to his full potential.

Even if Aurora and Aaron become his competitor for the Blood throne, it would have been interesting.

Who doesn't like challenges? After all, challenges are there to surpass oneself and overcome one's shortcomings.

"I'm just not interested." Kieran said.

"Is that so, how come?"

"Well, for starters my older brother is more capable than me. So why sit on a throne when there is already someone aiming or sitting at the throne. I can live my own life as I wish if don't take the throne for myself." Replied Kieran finishing his dessert, it was really good! He is even craving for another plate of it but that means extra workout today.

After thinking for a bit, Kieran decided to not have another dessert for now.

'But I will have it tomorrow, definitely!' Kieran said in his mind.

His daily routine and diet should not be changed.

But a slight change in diet for a day or two is okay, Kieran thought.

"I see." Aurora said.

"But it's such a waste, Mr Johnson. If you were to ask me, it's best to take all the opportunities presented to oneself. You're a genius and extremely talented individual. If you don't make use of your intelligence and assets it's a complete waste as I see. One should use every bit of one's potential to succeed in life, Mr Johnson! You don't have the intention to sit on a throne yet you pretend to be a king? Isn't that hypocrisy?"

"I apologise if I have offended you in some way, Mr Johnson, but that's my personal opinion from what I have learned about you."

Aurora doesn't know what happened just now, it was on impulse that Aurora said all of this to Kieran.

Kieran reminded Aurora of someone in her past life.

Her late, wife Kaena.

Kaena died for her own selfish and stupid way she lived her life.

Aurora can also view her wife's death as suicide, as Kaena had everything but didn't take all of the opportunity presented to her and pretended to be a queen on her last moments. When she never intended to be one.

"It's fine, I don't disagree as I'm a hypocrite. I hear it all the time. So it's okay." Replied Kieran taking a sip of his wine.

It is true, he is a hypocrite.

Kieran is a puppet of the Blood family and the Johnson's.

His feelings always differed from the Blood's and Johnson family.

He may not want the 'Blood throne' or be the head of the Johnson family.

But he has similar ambitions like the 'Blood candidates' and his older brother.

"That's about it for me, what about you Ms Blood?"

"You are ambitious as you have already started to join your parents to work alongside them at this age, while still studying in school."

"What about yourself?" Kieran asked shifting the topic from himself to Aurora.

"Hmm... Well if I say for myself then I want to be a Queen!"

"Differing from my mother as I have my own set of rules and principles that I live with."

"For starters, A&T corporation is just a starting point and a stepping stone for myself."

"I want to rule, rule with an Iron fist differing from my mother as I'm much more ruthless and merciless than my mother. If it weren't for the Blood family barring women to take the 'Throne', I would have already become a 'Blood candidate for the throne'. Not only that even in business I also want to be someone to rule the business world." Said Aurora.

"Hmm, I see. How grand of you, Ms Blood!" Replied Kieran.

Aurora was a Queen and always will be a Queen.

It's her nature, it will never change.

"I belong in the higher realms, Mr Johnson, I have always belonged to the top! Conquering the business world etc has always been my intention."

"..." Kieran.

"It's strange." Muttered Kieran.

"Pardon?" Aurora heard Kieran but was confused about what he found strange.

"You are too confident." Kieran said, furrowing his brows.

"..." Aurora.

"Way too confident?"

"..." Aurora.

"No, it's not confidence."

"..." Aurora felt confused.

She can't comprehend what Kieran is trying to tell.

"What is your first impression of me?" Kieran asked.

"Hmm, I guess someone who is lost about what he truly wants. A hypocrite as you have said so yourself. Someone who is dancing on the palm of someone elses hands and scheming to be free from that someone's hands. Intelligent, smart, handsome, ignorant and selfish and many more."

"I see." Kieran replied chuckling.

"You judge me too quickly, no?"

'I see, that nagging feeling on my head that I was having since I met her!' Kieran thought.

"Well, you did ask me to tell you my first impression of you." Replied Aurora with a smile on her face.

"Fair enough."

"So have you finished assessing me, Ms Blood?" Kieran asked.

"No, I have not." Replied Aurora, her face returned to her neutral face.

"It's our first meeting after all." Said Kieran.

"Then what about your assessment of me, Mr Johnson?" Aurora asked Kieran.

"Hmm, yes I should also say a few things about yourself, right!" Hearing Aurora Kieran replied.

"You are confident but Arrogant. Cunning, scheming, ruthless, merciless and cold. Quite proud of yourself, Intelligent and smart. Bold, defiant, aggressive, narcissistic, egocentric and selfish."

"Wow! That's a lot of negatives than positives, Mr Johnson." Replied Auror with a forced smile.

"Well as I have already stated I'm a hypocrite. But Ms Blood, I will be truthful to you."

"I'm sorry, you don't interest me. Instead, you kind of pisses me off!"

"..." Aurora is truly speechless and was in a daze hearing Kieran.

Kieran standing up from his chair looked at Aurora.

"Well, Ms Blood, I had an enjoyable evening and I hope we don't meet again!"

Kieran extended his hand to Aurora for a handshake.

True, Kieran did enjoy the evening, only the delicious food and the dessert.

Aside from food, he doesn't give a s*it about this date.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Aurora gave a smile and replied.

"Likewise, I also enjoyed the evening and hope we don't meet ever again."

Aurora then got up and shook Kieran's hands.

After that, they went on their separate ways taking the exits of opposite of each other.

"That b***ard!" Aurora muttered before leaving the restaurant.

"That b**ch!" Kieran said out loud on his way out.

"I sincerely hope/pray that we don't ever meet again!" Kieran and Aurora said cursing out loud.
