Chapter 3

When Danny opened his eyes, he heard a snoozing sound coming from his side. He realized that Seo-ri fell asleep and so he moved his head on hers.

The two had fallen asleep, time passed by until six pm of the evening.

"Danny, I'm home!" A blonde woman in her forties entered the house, she was the definition of a Sicilian woman, she had silver eyes that compliments with her beauty. She is the mother of Danny, where his Italian descent came from.

Danny awoken from his sleep when he heard a familiar female voice, he looked around and there he saw his mother standing and looking at them in a teasing manner. "You two really hid your relationship well, eh?"

"It doesn't matter if we're in a relationship right, ma?" Danny smiled back, he knew that Seo-ri awoke the same time he did and she was faking sleep right now.

Seo-ri was too embarrassed to continue faking her sleep, and so she lifted her head up when suddenly Danny wiped the drool over her lips, she said shyly "Thank you and Hello, auntie" She stood up and bowed towards her.

Gianna smiled and walked towards Seo-ri, giving her a hug and kissing her cheeks in a gentle manner. "I missed you Seo! Why haven't you been coming here these past few months? I was so lonely I couldn't talk with someone about women stuff! These two men in this house are so loud and I couldn't even relate with what they talk about, you know"

"That's cause you only talk about are this skinny celebrities, ma" Danny couldn't help but make a remark on his mother.

She glared at him and said "Anyway, do you want to come with me in the kitchen to prepare for dinner? Let's leave the grumpy man alone"

Seo-ri nodded and she was led towards the kitchen by Gianna while they both laughed at Gianna's remark on Danny.

"Ugh… There's really nothing to do in this house when my computer's broken, I guess I'll just accept the second quest and see if I could complete it" He closed his eyes and he could see the white room again, A Screen appeared before him showing the Quest lists.

He clicked the (locked) part of the second quest and a message popped up.

[Do you wish to unlock the Quest: Find a job during summer? Yes/No]

He clicked the Yes button. Expecting a message that states the quest being unlocked, instead a different message appeared.

[Are you really sure that you will be able to find a job during summer? Yes/No]

"Are you really messing with me, system? Of course I'm sure!" He shouted and clicked the Yes button harder this time, annoyed at the remarks of this system.

The message made Danny speechless; he could only lift his hand in front of the screen and gave it the middle finger. "Man, I can't stand you. I'll just sleep again since I can't keep up with your bullsh*t" He opened his eyes and tried to sleep again by laying down on the couch.

It took a few minutes of concentration but Danny succeeded in falling asleep.

While Danny was asleep, Gianna and Seo-ri was busy talking about the things that happened in the past months when they weren't able to talk. "Hey Seo, Did you stopped vising us because of a lover's quarrel between you and Danny?" She looked teasingly at Seo-ri like a middle aged housewife hungry for gossip.

Seo-ri moved her head side to side and said while giggling "He actually misunderstood that I had a boyfriend, auntie" Gianna looked at her as she couldn't believe how stupid her son could be.

"I guess, I didn't raised my boy right enough…" They both laughed and continued on talking about different things like celebrities, beauty products, etc.

30 minutes later, Danny was currently experiencing his most high of a dream. Surrounded by women with different shapes and sizes, he was enjoying it very so until a voice had disrupted his sleep once again from paradise.

He opened his eyes and saw a middle-aged man in tuxedos. The man had a very neat combed hair and a fine posture as well. His look was fairly average but the aura he excluded was what made him very attractive to the opposite sex.

"Hello dad, how's work?" He greeted and bowed after standing up.

Woo Sang-Il opened his arms for a hug and said "Same old, same old. Come give your dad a hug, Dan"

Danny went towards his dad, gave his old man a hug and said "Dad, Seo-ri and Ma is in the kitchen. She's been here since the afternoon"

The father and son were close since his father used to bring him around everywhere during his childhood. Both of them had the same tastes in most things and Il-sung and Danny drink liquor together in some occasion.

"That's great then, since it's been a while since Seo-ri visited us, I'll go greet them both before changing clothes for dinner" Sang-il walked towards the kitchen.

Danny yawned "Alright dad, I'll just watch some show while waiting for dinner, please tell them to call me when it's time for dinner"

He took the remote control and switched channels.

"LITTLE DIL DOE, A YOUNG MAN'S JOURNEY TO FIND LOVE IN OUR SOCIETY. WATCH THE FIRST EPISODE ON 9:00 PM TONIGHT!"

Hey, isn't this just a drama about a gigolo?

"BED OF GLORY: CONQUEROR OF WORLDS WILL NOW HAVE ITS OWN ANIMATED SERIES! WE WILL NOW SHOW THE TRAILER"

Woah, I'm quite enjoying what I see!

"JAPANESE SUPERSTAR, MARIE OZAKA IS GOING TO KOREA TO JOIN THE SHOOTING OF LOVERS IN PARADISE"

What the f*ck? A p*rnstar is a superstar in this world and what's with the title of that show, are you really shooting a drama or p*rn?

Danny was thinking of how the big the changes were in the world, he was even thinking if people became less conservative in this world due to how they broadcasted this kind of shows quite frankly.

Suddenly, A voice came from his side. "What's with your reaction when you saw those shows? You do know that it's the adult channels segment you're looking at right now" Seo-ri was standing beside the wall while she giggled and said" Anyway, dinner's ready so follow me and let's eat"

"Alright, go lead the way, Seo-ri" Danny walked towards her and was led by Seo-ri with her right hand holding his wrist.

Inside the dining room, Sang-Il was sitting at the center while Gianna sat at his right.

Gianna looked at the two of them and gestured "Come sit the two of you"

Danny looked at the food on the able and couldn't help make a comment on it "D*mn, ma you prepared a feast tonight, eh?"

"Mind your manners Dan! Don't curse in front of the food" Sang-Il interjected seriously.

Danny apologized and Seo-ri and Gianna giggled.

Gianna purposely made a teasing look towards Seo-ri who was sitting beside Danny and said "Well it's been months since Seo-ri came to our house for dinner so I prepared a celebratory dinner for her. I wonder why she stopped coming here, hmm…"

She then had a look as if something came to her mind "Hey Sung, do you want to know as well?"

Sung-Il looked at her dubiously "There's a story behind that?"

"Everything has a story behind it" Gianna smacked her lips, "Anyway, I'll start now. It's because of how our little man right here saw Seo-ri walking home with another guy and then…"

Her explanation ended after a few minutes of endless teasing and giggling.

Sung-Il held his laughter back and said "I didn't know that Dan can be jealous of someone"

Danny was too ashamed to look at them, solely focusing on the food in front of him. He was just eating to evade those teasing remarks from his parents.

Seo-ri suddenly asked, easing the teasing atmosphere "By the way auntie, I forgot to ask Danny this earlier but how was the family trip to Italy?"

Gianna excitedly replied "My, I thought you wouldn't even ask about that! It was fun going back to my birthplace and our little Dan made quite a few friends. This boy even had a few fights and was almost taken by the authorities if it weren't for his grandfather"

The conversation as they dine was all about what happened to Danny during their trip to Italy, Gianna was talking nonstop while Seo-ri was listening enthusiastically. It was quite funny to hear how rough Danny was in Italy. Seo-ri still remembered how gentle and respectful Danny is to his friends and women. His personality was a contrast compared to teens today but that's what made him interesting and attractive.

The whole conversation centered on Danny during dinner, it was as if everyone's world revolves around him and he was meant to be the center of everything.

Danny waited for quite a while before he got a chance to talk "Ma, I'm planning to find a job this summer"

"Was the allowance I gave you not enough?" Gianna and Sung-Il had been spoiling Danny since he was a child, they would buy him everything he asked for. He was their only child and so they poured all their love to him.

Il-sung looked at his wife and spoke authoritatively "Honey, let him be. It's better to learn how to responsible at a young age"

"I guess it would be nice to see our little boy work" Gianna reminded herself as she remembers how she had pampered their child since childhood "Anyway Danny, my friend that owns a bar is currently hiring. I could give her a call later and set you up for an interview. How about you Seo-ri, do you want to apply as well?"

Seo-ri sneaked glances at Danny and felt sad for a moment "Sorry auntie but I can't, father had me enrolled to a summer school but I could probably visit here if its fine with Danny…"

Her words felt ambiguous so she added "and if its fine with you and uncle, as well"

Danny was oblivious to the signals Seo-ri was throwing at him, he was in fact, currently in his mind dissing the system. Though, moments later he was suddenly kicked back to reality after a system message appeared.

[Lucky Bastard]

The System was speechless this time.
