Sikong Ren was relatively lenient that day, not bothering to press Chu Changying for answers, at least not then and there. He did end with an ominous, "You cannot hide the truth. Not when we've already come to this." 

Chu Changying looked away. And Zhang Wang laughed nervously, deciding it was best to change the topic. "What do you two plan on doing from here on out?" 

"...I will stay here until Guo Lang gets better," Chu Changying said.

"Oh, did you really think I'd allow the two of you to freeload for what long?" Su Wen cut in with a false smile plastered to his face, "Was my hospitality thus far not enough for you? Know that the only reason I am allowing your extended stay is because my liege..."

Zhang Wang smiled at the serpent and said, "Ah, surely my Shijie will pay for her extended stay if she wishes to do so right…?" he then peered at Chu Changying, signaling at her to play along and not cause any trouble.
