Welcome Back Captain 2

A mountain is shrouded with a flickering flame of fire that is rapidly consuming everything resulting everything into a pure ashes. Amidst the raging flame is buildings that is put into firer. There are horrible screams that can be heard coming from it, but no matter what, no one is around for rescue.

Not afar, a figure is watching the whole seen unfold with satisfaction in the eyes. There are no glint of conscience in those eyes as the figure throw away the lab dress it was currently wearing and change into a brand new set of clothes.

The person burned the clothes, leaving no evidence as it disperse in the sea of trees after wards.

The person entity is unclearly seen.

The moon is the only witness on the grim that is happening that night.

On a nearby mountain, faint voices and loud foot steps could be heard approaching,

"Why is it so hot though it's already in the middle of the night!? I think we should stop and take a rest!" retorted a handsome man in his early twenties as sweat fell from his forehead. It's been already a day since they climb this mountain and they never spotted their destination. The abnormal sudden change of the atmosphere from hot to cold is unbearable.

"Stop complaining , the survey sect isn't like this. If the general heard you, he will surely behead you" a cold stern voice replied. He is also attractive young but his face is stoic cold and blunt. There are no trace of tiredness or fatigue in his eyes. He is totally a soldier.

"You can't say that, the rail is getting tougher and tougher. It's better to climb this mountain at daylight!" Fargo argued back. He is tired as hell! This is more tiring than those excruciating military trainings!

"The information we gain before setting out says it all. If you didn't read it, then it's your fault. Just shut up and walk" Mato shut the pitiful man completely. It's true that the difficulty of this mountain is altitudinous, that's why it's called as Thousand Soul Mountain Rail. As the name stress it, many travelers and climbers who went into this mountain didn't return back alive or their bodies can't be retrieved. So they secluded this mountain long ago.

However, the military received an information that illegal research involving human tracking is happening around here that's why they are here in the first place. But no matter how fast they walk and climb, the rail is complicated and can't be fathom easily. It explains why many has lost their ways and ended up stranded inside the mountain.

There is also an instruction that no matter what, they shouldn't make contact with any living creatures here in the mountain. It is possible that they are mutant in viruses from the research facility, and the outcome would be very ill.

It's already past mid night yet they didn't spotted any research facilities around. Not a single animal has ever shown up it feels like as if this mountain is haunted.

Mato, the substitute captain of this survey unit consisting of 28 soldiers including him saw the situation and decided to take a rest.

"The operation will temporarily stop for now and will commence at any time. Prepare the camp and set the fire on" he stated and the ghastly faces of the soldiers regained its original color and they immediately did as what he said.

The most happiest was of course Fargo, who is been complaining the whole time long.

After eating a fulfilling meal, everyone went to rest while some went to patrol on the nearby area if there are any abnormality.

"Finally I'm able to take a good night rest…" Fargo sighed as he lay down on a sleeping bag near the camp fire. Having a sleep in a risky operation is enough from good as for them. There are more grievous situation aside from this that they already once experienced before.

"Ignorance sure is bliss, that's why many people is an idiot" Mato utter bluntly as he grab a map and examine it.

"What did you say!?" Fargo yell but the man ignored his whole existence making him to get pissed. But well, this statue cold man has been his long team mate anyway so he is used at the way he treated him so there is no point on arguing with him.

"You should learn from Xie, he doesn't even complain at the most nonsensical matter, when will you learn?" Mato added without glancing at Fargo

"You shouldn't treat Fargo like that I think" a grin beamed from Xie's lips. In comparison to the loud Fargo, Xie is actually one of the most composed and silent soldier Mato has ever seen. This guy doesn't even know to complain, he thought. The three is actually good looking soldiers but Xie is different, he has this looks that differs into a woman though his body looks manly, but it's because his facial features is soft he is often categorized as a meek.

Fargo did raise his brows toward Mato when he gain Xie's support. But when Mato give him a cold stare he immediately withdraw and pretended to look at the moon.
