Crazy meets crazy

At work, Mira was distracted. In fact, she had been distracted for days now. On Saturday, she went grocery shopping with James. Spending time outside with James reminded her of the past and how they usually hung out without any sort of awkwardness between them. That had made her emotional because she realized how much she missed their friendship. She hadn't realized it until they were out and playing around in the grocery store. Was this what it meant when one became an adult? Did it mean friendships would die and you'd feel so far apart even if you lived in the same house? 

Some people in the store had assumed they were a couple, especially when the two began to shop for items for Zee in the kid's section.
