Chapter 46: Duel ( Part 2)

Dorea Potter answered in grim voice, " He is Alexander Fortis."

The matriarch paled in fear and turned towards her guards, " Evacuate everyone of our sisters to the sanctuary, NOW!!!"

Arcturus, " What is the reason of this extreme response?"

The matriarch replied in a low voice, " We are a race of magical beings so we are more attuned to magic than the normal wizards and witches. The amount of power that man holds in his body is so much that I cannot even sense the whole of it but this is not the main reason of my fear."

Charles, " Then, what is the real reason?"

The matriarch said in a grim tone, " His bloodline."

Leonard asked in a questioning tone, " Bloodline?"

The matriarch, " All magical beings have a bloodline even wizards and witches who show massive talent in some fields of magic also have some traces of bloodline. Now, no bloodline has ever surpressed us. It means that our bloodline is superior to all the beings we have encountered till now."

Dorea, " Now?"

The matriarch, " That man's bloodline surpresses us so badly that we won't be even able to move from our places let alone resisting when he releases his pressure. I am the matriarch because I am not the most powerful magically but I am the most powerful in our bloodline. This is the reason I can sense the passive suppression he has towards my people. Imagine if a wanted species like Veela cannot even move from our places, cannot do anything to protect ourselves, what would happen to us? That's why I am afraid for my people. Our suffering would be worse than what our ancestors had suffered under the tyranny of wizards in ancient times. At least my ancestors had been able to resist and escape but we won't be able to do anything."

Arcturus, " If you ever need any help, tell us."

Charles, " If something happens, we will cover your escape."

Suddenly, an elf appeared in the box and said, " Matriarch of Veela Race!!! My master wants to meet you after the duel."

Matriarch, " Who is your master?"

The elf replied in a voice full of pride," Alexander Fortis."

The matriarch set out a heavy sigh and spoke, " I will meet him after the duel."

All the guards present in the box vehemently protested against this but the matriarch refused to reconsider. Suddenly, a loud boom reverberated across the stadium. Everyone turned to see that a wizard standing at the foot of the throne had made the noice. The eyes of the people were also drawn to the man sitting on the throne and they find him reading something and not paying attention to anything.

Everyone saw that an ICW official came near the man while looking at the man sitting on the throne or more specifically the throne as his whole body screamed greed. Suddenly, a beam of magic struck the man and the man was turned to ashes. Everyone heard the man called Alexander Fortis mutter, " Greedy Worm!!! Spoiled my good mood." The audience started shouting in rage and curse words were thrown towards Alexander Fortis. Suddenly ,similar beams of magic struck hundereds of people and they turned into bloody mists. Now, the audience was gripped in terror and no one spoke a word even the ICW officials were silent due to fear. The only noice in the entire stadium was the sound of pages turning coming from Alexander's direction.

After few minutes, Dumbledore appeared on the stage and looked around expecting a loud applause but what he got was angry glares of the people. As they were not brave enough to point their anger towards Alexander, they turned their attention to the next best candidate of their ire. Dumbledore was confused at this harsh reception and approached an ICW official. The official while throwing fearful expression towards Alexander explained all the events that had happened up to now.

Dumbledore's face showed agitation. The audience thought that the old man was sad at the unnecessary deaths but Alexander who was reading his mind knew that the old bastard didn't gave two cents about the death of hundereds of people or vampires he had killed, the old coot was worried about the display of power shown by him. Alexander had not killed any magi, he had killed vampires who had come here to take advantage of the situation. Alexander was curious how these vampires were able to walk in daylight so he had his men capture one of them and had him throughly interrogated.

The vampires had performed a ritual which was developed just a few decades ago that allowed them to walk in daylight for a day by sacrificing a newly born child.There were 835 vampires mixed in the crowd so hundreds of children died because of their scheme. Now, how did vampires got so many children without anyone noticing anything. The vampires had captured these children from all over Europe and America during the month after the conflict of Hogsmeade. Alexander was furious at the loss of innocent life and was thinking of a way to kill these fellows when that ICW official came near him. That guy was a bonafide bastard who was a corrupt and blood purist so Alexander had no hesitation in killing him.

The response of the audience gave him an excuse to kill of the leeches. Alexander mentally ordered Carter to pass on the magical contract prepared by him to the ICW official. The official read the contract and asked, " What is the meaning of this?"

Alexander, " This is a magical contract that binds both parties to follow the terms of the agreement between us. Don't try to argue or you will join the man before you."

The ICW official nodded fearfully and took the contract to his superiors. Alexander saw as they debated heatedly and casted all types of revealing spells on the parchment but nothing happened. The contract was indeed true but the parchment it was written on was a magical carbon paper. It was an invention that one of his administrative workers came up with as he was very frustrated signing all the documents. As the documents were magical in nature, they required magical signature of the signee. The man was tired of signing so many papers that he developed a carbon paper that copied his signature and magical signature on the targeted paper. The man used his invention to sign all his documents. Alexander had set up a monetary reward for any useful and progressive research or product being made in his kingdom so that the whole kingdom can benefit out of this.

The space where the parties would be signing was the part made up of carbon paper and it's target was another contract which Alexander had in his pocket. That contract stated that all the land in control and under the governance of the parties signing the contract would become the property of Alexander Fortis and the people living on that land would become his subjects. Moreover, once signed the contract cannot be amended in any form. Since the various ministries had signed at the time of forming of ICW that they would come under the governance of ICW but the ICW would not interfere in their internal matters, the contract would also include all the ministries that are a part of the ICW.

Alexander just needed Dumbledore to sign the contract as he was the head of ICW and he was only able to sign contracts on behalf of ICW. This was the only reason that Alexander had not killed him till now. Alexander watched as the officials of ICW signed the contract and in the end, Dumbledore also signed it. Alexander felt the contract taking effect and could sense all the land that various ministries controlled directly or indirectly. Alexander let the king's might flow into the contract and through it to the land now under his control and claimed it as a part of his kingdom. Alexander felt 40 million magi that had not submitted to him yet become his subjects.

Alexander's conquest of the magical side of the western countries and some of the Eastern countries complete. Now, only the non magical side was left and after that he would be able to finally turn his attention to India and China. Alexander could sense that all the hostility, fear and other negative feelings that these people had towards him vanish, only to be replaced by loyalty. Alexander willed the knowledge related to the king being transferred to all the newly claimed subjects. The audience became silent and bowed down in front of him in reverence. Alexander could see that a few people had not bowed down which included the members of the Veela race and the Magi which were the spies of the east.

Alexander ordered his subjects to capture these spies and shifted to the box housing the veela matriarch and her guards. He found himself surrounded by wands and the matriarch asked him in both fear and anger, " What have you done to these people?"

Alexander, in response, just laughed hard.
