"Remember the warning signs," said the doctor while pointing her finger at Anton and Yanmei. "Repeat contractions and pain on your back and most importantly, your water breaking."

The doctor was giving last-minute reminders of when to go to the hospital during their last check-up. Yanmei had already reached 36 weeks and anytime she would be ready to give birth. 

"Right!" Said Yanmei. She turned to Anton, who's eyes were tightening. "Remember that, mine. I am relying on you."

"You'd have to tell me about the pain, mine. Meanwhile, I'll be observant if you are suddenly dripping of water," said Anton as he gazed at his wife. 

Following Yanmei's check-up, Anton had become paranoid about the possibility of his wife's water breaking so suddenly. It was because the coming out of the baby was not something that he could control that it constantly worried him.
