JAYB's POV

"Gosh… I'm so nervous." I muttered as I jumped up and down while shaking my hands.

The day has finally come. It was time for our promotions. I've been really busy these past few days with the filming, finalizing the stage mixes, and even during our dance practices. I just hope that it'll pay off today. We've prepared for months just to get to this point. It would be a shame that it'll get ruined on our first day. It was pretty hectic since PD-nim decided to push the comeback a few days from its original date at the last minute since there were a bunch of boy groups that'll have their comeback on the same day if we didn't change our schedule.

Astro, AB6ix, IKON, WannaOne, NCT Dream and Alpha were supposed to have a comeback at the same time. But we decided to push back a few days before to gain a little bit of the promotional advantage. Although it would put a lot of pressure on us, we decided that it was a strategic move. The new boy groups' popularity is constantly on the rise, and it's also been a while since Alpha made its move so it was basically a fair game.

Jisoo smacked my back. "Calm down, will you? You're making tense."

I chuckled. "Where's Doyoung-ah by the way?"

"He's with their sub unit. He's trying to calm them down as well. They have a radio show appearance today." Jisoo said as she checked herself in the mirror.

"I guess everybody's nervous today." I sighed.

She then started applying some extra make-up. "Shouldn't you be with your members today?"

I smiled wryly. "You must have forgotten the fact that I'm also an MC for this show."

She rolled her eyes as she applied her lipstick. "I mean shouldn't you guys be doing some… pre-performance ritual or something?"

I pondered for a second. "We don't actually have one."

She snapped her head towards me. "Then go there and do something. I bet they're as nervous as you are, or even probably worse than you are."

I chuckled at her comment. "Them? They are perfectly fine."

Minutes later… when I went to check on Alpha in our dressing room…

"Ya! I lost my IEM! Has anybody seen my IEM?" Zee was frantically searching for his IEM.

"Waa! I can't seem to hit my parts…" Jeong Do was practicing his lines for the song.

Seiji-hyung was trying out his parts as he tried rapping in front of Yo Chul-hyung. "Like that?"

Yo Chul-hyung shook his head. "A little bit slower this time. You're going too fast."

"Again! Anyone? My IEMs are missing!" Zee continued to look for his IEM.

Dominic was on the floor as he wrapped himself with a blanket while Mina was trying to calm him down. Jiwoo was frantically pacing in the room as if he was trying to think of something. Matt-hyung was in a corner trying his best to recall his steps. Zhang was… well… he was wearing his earphones and eye mask and was sleeping.

"What is going on in here?!" I yelled.

Wosik-hyung approached me. "Oh thank God! You're finally here!"

"What's happening here hyung?" I asked in a worried tone.

He sighed. "Everyone's really nervous. It's been like this for a while now."

I sighed as I told Wosik-hyung to clear the room. After everyone except Alpha left, I then turned to all of them. "YA! Are you guys such lousy people? You can't even keep it together?"

They all turned their attention to me as they suddenly stopped what they were doing. I smiled at them. "Stop processing things at a fast pace. Relax, will you? And Zee… you're wearing your IEM…"

He tried touching his ears and realized that he was being an idiot. "Ah… how embarrassing."

"This isn't the Alpha I know." I seriously told them.

Dominic sighed. "It's been a while since we performed a comeback for our album. The pressure is different."

"Yeah? Well, when did that ever stop you from performing the most impossible surgeries?" I rolled my eyes.

They understood what I meant and they slowly gathered to where I am. Zee had to wake Zhang up and told him that we'd do our huddle. I gave them a smirk. "One team, one stage, one performance. No do overs."

They all nodded before I yelled. "Alpha Team!"

"Move out!" our yells echoed throughout the room and I knew that they were finally at their most confident state.

"Are you alright JayB-ssi?" Jisoo said as she went on with the script.

The show started a while ago and I was being an MC here with Jisoo. Alpha was about to perform and we're still pretty much nervous. I feel like we're about to debut again which makes it more terrifying. I was shaking as I was doing my job as the MC. That's why Jisoo was looking at me weirdly.

"I'm fine, Jisoo-ssi. Why do you ask?" I answered.

Jisoo smiled as she slowly pointed at the camera. "Because you just wrote a song about not wanting to cry."

"Oh! You mean [Don't wanna cry]." I answered her as I nervously sang the chorus.

"Waa! That was great. I'm looking forward to watching you perform!" Jisoo excitedly said.

I gave my members a wide smile. "So why don't we introduce ourselves guys? Take the lead!"

"Alpha! Hello! We are Alpha!" My members answered in unison.

Jisoo clapped. "Truly, it's making me excited."

"Really? Thank you. But it's making me nervous." I joked.

She then turned to Seiji-hyung. "So can you tell us what the song is all about?"

Seiji-hyung nodded. "Ah, yes. The song is about a person wanting and waiting for his true love to come back to him. While doing so, he doesn't want to shed tears. It is a heartwarming techno ballad song so I hope you'll give it a listen. Pack, we love you."

"Waa… so JayB-ssi, I heard you wrote this song. Were you thinking of anyone in particular?" Jisoo teased. This was totally not in the script.

I gave her a smile. "No, one actually. I thought about this song when I was on hiatus. I missed performing in front of our fans, so I wrote a song about waiting to come back."

She gave me a smirk before turning back to the camera. "We're all excited for your comeback Alpha. Are you all excited and ready for their performance too?"

"This is 2 of the members of Kimsam." I continued the script.

"Wait a second JayB-ssi! It's not time yet." Jisoo stopped me. This was not part of the script. I turned to the director who was just smirking at me.

Suddenly, they all started singing a happy birthday song to me. "What is this?"

To my surprise, my wife, Dahyun, revealed herself from the exit with a cake in hand. I laughed at how cute she was being today. This was really a big surprise for itself. Based on everyone's reaction, they were all in on this. Even the crew and the staff of the show.

Dahyun approached me as she gave me the cake. "Happy Birthday, hubby!"

"Dahyun-ie… thank you… thank you everyone!" I thanked everyone who was present.

"Don't go yet as Alpha will perform one of their songs from their latest album, 'Don't Wanna Cry'. See you after the break!" Jisoo announced as she turned to the camera.

When the cameras turned off, I snapped my head at Jisoo. "What was that?!"

"Hey, you wrote the song." Jisoo shrugged.

I sighed. "Still, you shouldn't have said that since my wife is here."

Dahyun giggled. "Don't blame her, oppa. I asked her to do it."

I shook my head in disbelief. "You two are definitely pranksters of the same level."

Jisoo then wrapped her arm over Dahyun's shoulder. "What can I say? We make a pretty good team."

"Yeah. I have to agree on that one." I smiled at them as I took off my coat when my stylist came with my IEM.

"JayB-ssi, 5 minutes before show time. Get to the backstage once you're done putting on your mic and IEM. Make sure it's checked." The stage manager reminded me.

"I have to go. See you after the show?" I asked Dahyun.

She gave me a wry smile. "I can't. Twice is going into a radio show as we speak. We're on break, so I snuck out to surprise you."

My heart melted as soon as I heard that. Is she starting to open up to me? I gave her a smile before I tucked her hair behind her ear. "Alright. I understand. Don't tire yourself. We still have a fan signing event this afternoon. So let's have dinner with our friends?"

She suddenly attacked me with a hug as she giggled. "I'll think about it. I have to go now. Happy Birthday again, my beloved husband."

Dahyun jogged towards the exit until I could no longer see her. I was still pretty much frozen on the spot. Jisoo snapped her fingers in front of my face to try and bring me back to reality. "Earth to JayB-ya. You're being called to the backstage already."

"Ah? Right. Sorry about that. Thanks, Jisoo-ya! Bring blackpink over later. We're having dinner at my place." I rapidly said as I jogged towards the back stage.

"We'll try to be there since we still have practices tonight! Knock 'em dead, JayB-ya!"

The stage was set. The lights were on. The cameras were rolling. And Alpha? We were already on stage waiting for our music to play. My heart was beating so fast as I was now ten times more nervous than I was a minute ago. My members who were looking at my way were trying to hold in their laughter. I'm sure that my face is showing how nervous I was. With one deep breath, I tried calming myself. I closed my eyes as I tried to control my breathing. When I opened my eyes again. There, I saw her. Dahyun was standing in the front most of the audience holding up a banner that said "JayB, my husband, do your best".

After seeing that gesture from her, a smile crept up onto my face. The nervousness faded and it was replaced with excitement. She was going to watch my performance. I guess I have no choice but to give it my all then. I have to make her proud after all. As soon as the music played, Alpha finally came back with a powerful and emotional performance. The fans chanted to the song and were in tears at how happy they were to finally see us again. The performance soon ended as Zee sang the last line. The audience were all cheering loudly. And at the corner of my eye, I could see Dahyun excitedly cheering for me. That itself made my day.

The lights went off and the cameras stopped rolling. We made our way to the dressing room. My members were asking for the oxygen mask, but I was still pretty much excited as I ran down the hall to look for her as soon as my manager handed me my phone. I desperately tried to look for her, but she was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly my phone vibrated as it displayed a message. I took it out and opened the message. It was from Dahyun. "Sorry, oppa. I had to leave for the radio station. I really wanted to see you after your performance but my manager-unnie was already scolding me for being late on the program. You were so cool on stage. I'm really proud of you. Make sure you get plenty of rest before the fan signing event. Okay? <3"

I sighed. To be honest, I was quite disappointed. But that feeling was soon replaced with gladness as I recalled how she almost ditched a schedule just to surprise me twice. There were no cameras from We Got Married, so it must all be real. I hope so.

_________

"Now that Alpha has finished performing for the pack, we will now officially begin our event. Just a couple of reminders, please do not crowd the artists and respect the time. Thank you!" Wosik-hyung announced which the crowd responded with applause.

We performed "Don't Wanna Cry" a while ago. This was our first fan signing event of the year, so we gave it our all. I was already starting to feel tired from the schedules today, but I decided to suck it up since the fans were looking forward to this. After our manager announced the event to officially start, we made our way to our assigned seats as we prepared our pens. Today, I was the last person on the right most part of the table. I was joined by Dominic who was beside me.

"You alright?" Dominic patted my shoulder as he asked in a worried tone.

I chuckled. "Just a little exhausted from today's schedule."

He then took something from his backpack and handed it to me. "Here, take this pill. It'll charge you up enough to last you until the event is over."

I gladly took it and drank it. "Thanks. Let's have a good one."

"Let's." He said as he drank from his bottle of water.

The fans started filing themselves accordingly per row. We met a new set of fans who were really glad to meet us for the first time. There were even old fans who were constantly asking about how I was and to sing them a song. But one thing was constantly happening that was bothering me somehow. When I asked them if it's okay to hold their hand, they would refuse saying that they want Dahyun to hold it instead.

"It's okay really. She won't mind." I smiled at her.

She shook her head. "Oppa, you should take your wife seriously."

I was taken aback by what she said as I chuckled. "I AM taking her seriously."

"Then don't do anything to make her jealous, okay oppa? I'm really a fan of you and Dahyun-ah. I hope you last long. Are you dating in real life though?" She seriously asked.

I smiled wryly. "No, we're not."

She pouted. "That's too bad. The first episode is about to come out so I'm really excited to see it. You still have time so I guess it wouldn't be long before you start to develop your feelings for her."

Really? Are you totally okay with that?" I asked as I raised a brow at her.

She giggled. "Of course! Why wouldn't I be? You always put your members and the pack's happiness before your own. It makes me sad actually. But now that you have a chance to be happy, why would we take it from you?"

It was one of the kindest things I've ever heard from a fan which made me smile from ear to ear. "Thank you. You don't know how much that means to me."

The bell rang which means that her turn with me has ended. She quickly handed me her letter and a tiger headband before she stood up. "Oppa! I'm rooting for you! I love you! Fighting!"

"Thank you, Jina-ya! I hope you continue to support us." I told her sincerely.

It was finally the last set of fans to come. I was entertaining a fan when I noticed my members snicker every time a fan would go near them. I paid little attention to them since I wanted to give the fan who was in front of me my full attention. As I was enjoying my conversation with the fan, the bell rung again so we said our goodbyes and best wishes.

I then turned to the next fan who was wearing a cap and a mask. "Alright. Hi there! How are you? What's your name?"

"I see now why every girl would fall in love with that smile of yours." The fan mumbled.

I was taken aback by what she said. "Excuse me? What do you mean?"

"Nothing. Here you go." She said as she handed me a different group's album. It was a signed copy of Twice. I get it. She must be a fan of Dahyun and me.

I gave her a warm smile. "May I ask for your name?"

She sighed deeply again. "Do you need to ask for your wife's name?"

My eyes grew wide at what she said. "What did you just say?"

Just then, she started removing her cap and mask which made me gasp in surprise. The rest of the crowd started screaming too. Even the fan beside her stumbled down in surprise and excitement. "Surprise, hubby. I came here to support you. And to make sure that you wouldn't cheat on me."

"'Surprise hubby.'~" My members started teasing me which made Dahyun giggle.

I plopped down on my table. I can't take any of her surprises anymore. I might die of a heart attack. "I thought you have a schedule?"

"I did. It was just a radio show. We're free the rest of the day so I decided to come here." She smiled innocently at me.

This girl…

Seriously…

"Come with me for a second." I grabbed her by the wrist and took my microphone as I dragged her gently towards the center of the stage. The people were squealing and speaking in hushed tones. I changed my grip as I intertwined my fingers with hers which only made the crowd scream louder. "Pack, I know this is sudden. Even I'm surprised she's here."

The crowd continued to scream and cheer for us. I lifted my hand signaling them to quiet down. "So… I wanted to introduce someone to the pack. I'm sure that everyone has heard the rumors by now since the first episode hasn't aired yet. But still, I wanted to formally introduce her to you all. Pack, meet my wife, Kim Dahyun from Twice."

The pack started screaming as soon as they heard the announcement. When I turned to Dahyun she was blushing madly. It was cute seeing her that way. She lowered her head just to make sure that everyone wouldn't see her face as it turned redder and redder. I chuckled. "Wifey… do you want to say something to the pack?"

She nodded slightly and slowly as I handed the microphone to her. "Umm… Hello, I am Kim Dahyun from Twice. I hope that you continue to give my husband and Alpha the love and support that they need. Also, I hope that you will support our journey as husband and wife. Thank you."

"You did great." I whispered to her.

She then leaned in to whisper back. "This was completely unnecessary."

"Hey, it's for my fans to acknowledge you as my wife. After all, it's unusual for the 'virtual wife' to visit his 'virtual husband' outside the show." I told her. She didn't respond in return and just sighed. I then held the microphone up. "Thank you, pack. Ming Do-hyung. Is it okay if my wife gets a seat next to me?"

The fans who were having their albums signed heard that and began squealing while the rest responded with an 'awwe'. It made me feel a little bit proud of my wife. It means that her efforts are being recognized by my fans. It's weird because 2 weeks ago, we started on the wrong foot. Now, she's actually doing something to keep me on my toes. I should plan a surprise for her too. Soon the last fan went over to me.

The fan that handed me her copy of the album was staring at Dahyun in awe. "Wow… you're even prettier in person. I can't believe that I get to meet Dahyun-unnie here. Waa…"

Dahyun took a strand of her hair and covered her face. "That's really sweet of you. Thank you. Please continue to support my husband in all their activities."

"Right? She's even prettier when she smiles and does aegyo." I told the fan as I finished signing her album.

Dominic turned to me as he rested his head on his hand. "I suddenly miss Mina-ri. I wish she was here too."

Dahyun chuckled. "Should I call her?"

Dominic waved it off. "Don't bother. We're going to meet up later during JayB-ya's party."

The fun happily took the album and went back to her seat. The moment the event officially finished, Seiji-hyung came out from the back stage rolling in a huge cake. Everyone, including the fans, started singing me a birthday song. It was really heartwarming as Dahyun held my hand the entire time. I was truly grateful to everyone present who made this event and day special. It was truly an unforgettable time.

__________

"What are you doing here?" I walked over to Dahyun who was leaning over at the balcony of my penthouse.

After the fan signing event, we immediately went over to one of my penthouse in Ittaewon. I thought that there were only going to be a few people in. But as soon as I entered the place, it was filled with people from the company and as well other friends from different companies. My friends ended up surprising me with a party inside my own house. We've been at it for a while now and I was starting to become tired. Thankfully, there wasn't any alcohol involved in this party since we were all going to be busy tomorrow.

It was a fun night. For me especially. I had fun introducing my wife to different people. She was very polite to them and was very good at answering questions too. No wonder she was always invited as a host and MC in different shows. She's not just charismatic, she's also very witty. This party gave me the chance to see that side of her. But I was probably too dense that having her talk to a lot of people was quite taxing on her part. I should be more careful next time.

"Hmm? Oh. I'm just getting some fresh air. Are we meeting some more people?" She gave me a reassuring smile.

I shook my head as I handed her a glass of water. "No, it's not that. I just came to check how you were doing. I'm sorry for not being mindful. It must have been tiring for you to meet my friends."

She giggled as she shook her head. "Don't worry about it. I enjoyed meeting your friends anyway. By the way, you really have a lot."

"Do I? It's not that plenty." I smiled wryly.

She raised a brow at me. "Not that plenty? JayB, these people came because you either saved them from something, or you helped them with something."

I scratched my chin as I tried to smile. "You don't have to put it that way."

"You're amazing." She uttered while staring straight at me which made me blush a little.

I averted my gaze and breathed out. "Listen… Dahyun-ie… about today…"

"There he is! The birthday boy!" A loud voice boomed from inside the house. Dahyun and I snapped our heads towards the person. It was Hoseok-hyung who was smiling from ear to ear. Behind him was the rest of the BTS members and Ji Eun-noona.

"Happy Birthday, JayB-ya!" Jimin gave me a hug which the other members followed suit.

Jungkook came over to give me a hug. As soon as he pulled away he then gave me an embarrassed smile. "Hyung, I brought noona along since she had nothing to do. I hope you don't mind."

I chuckled as I turned to Ji Eun-noona. "Not at all. We're happy to have you here, Ji Eun-noona."

"We?" Namjoon-hyung raised his eyebrow.

His words made me chuckle as I slowly intertwined my fingers with Dahyun's and revealed her to my guests. "Everyone, this is my wife, Kim Dahyun from Twice. Dahyun-ie, this is BTS with IU-sunbaenim."

"Hello everyone." She timidly greeted them.

Taehyung chuckled. "JayB-ya… she's really pretty."

I pretended to glare at him. "Ya! She's my wife. Don't hit on her."

"Ooh! Protective JayB… it's nice to see this side of you." Jin-hyung teased which made everyone laugh.

I smiled at them. "I'm glad that you guys could make it despite your schedule."

"We wouldn't miss this for the world." Yoongi-hyung smiled.

"Well, don't just stand there. Enjoy yourselves. Make sure not to cause trouble though." I welcomed them and joked a little.

They all started walking towards the dessert table as I guided them there. But I noticed Ji Eun-noona staring at my wife which made Dahyun a little bit comfortable. She then turned to me with a smile. "JayB-ya… can you give me and Dahyun a second?"

I sighed. "Alright. Dahyun-ie… will you be okay?"

Dahyun gave me a slight smile as she nodded. Afterwards, I left them there for a few good minutes as I entertained the other guests. From time to time, I would take a glance over the balcony to see if Dahyun and Ji Eun-noona were alright. I couldn't see them clearly since their backs were against me as they were both leaning on the edge of the balcony.

"Happy Birthday, JayB-ya!" A woman's voice suddenly echoed from the doorway.

I turn to see Joy and the Red Velvet members make an entrance. I chuckled as she ran towards me with her heels on. She then jumped in for a hug. I smiled at the rest of them after pulling away from the hug. "Wow! You guys look amazing. I'm glad you guys could make it. I was starting to think that you weren't able to make it."

Seulgi-noona smiled at me. "The concert took a while, that's why we're late. But we're here now. So let's party!"

"Wait. Aren't you guys tired at all? Do you want to rest instead?" I offered them.

Wendy-noona chuckled. "And miss out the party of the century? No way!"

"Where are the rest of your members?" Irene-noona asked.

"Oh, they're at the bar down stairs." I replied.

So Joy, Sungjae-ya's downstairs by the batting rink. Seulgi-noona, Jinyoung-hyung is with the rest of BtoB members. Umm… Yeri-ya, your Dino-ya is with Wendy-noona's Vernon by the pool area over there." I teased.

The Red Velvet members started to blush madly. Some of them have been keeping their relationship a secret for a while now. But they didn't even realize how obvious they were being. Wendy-noona whispered. "How did you find out?"

"You guys are being pretty obvious. You know that?" I answered with a chuckle.

Joy shook her head. "Don't worry, we'll go to our boyfriends later. The reason why we came here in a rush even though we're obviously tired, is because we wanted to meet your wife. When is the first episode coming?"

"Right around the time we start filming for the second episode." I answered.

Irene-noona then asked. "Where is she by the way?"

"She's with Ji Eun-noona by the balcony. Noona, wanted to talk with her privately." I answered nonchalantly.

"And you're okay with that?" Wendy-noona's mouth fell wide open.

I shrugged. "Well, Dahyun-ie was fine with it, so I agreed."

Yeri rolled her eyes. "Omo… you really are dense."

"JayB-ya… it doesn't mean she says that it's okay, that it's actually okay." Seulgi-noona explained.

I threw my hands in the air in surrender. "How am I supposed to know that? Do girls' yes mean no at times? You can be quite confusing!"

"How long have they been talking?" Irene-noona asked.

I pondered before giving them a shrug. "I don't know. Around 15-20 minutes now."

"15… JayB-ya…" Wendy-noona facepalmed.

Joy Sighed. "I'll handle this."

She started making her way to the balcony. I tried to stop her but she was quite fast for someone who was wearing heels. The next thing I knew, she already went there and barged in their conversation. I didn't know what they were talking about but they were smiling and laughing. I guess she must be introducing herself properly. Just then, all three of them turned to me before they started laughing. Ji Eun-noona and Joy left her there over the balcony. Ji Eun-noona then approached me and smiled. "Thanks for letting me talk to her. She's all yours."

"Come, girls. I think JayB-ya needs some time with his wife. We'll meet her later once they're done." Joy said and started bringing her members along with her.

What did they just talk about?

Girls…

I might not ever understand them.

After they left me there, I composed myself before heading to where Dahyun was. As soon as I got there, I placed my coat over her to cover her from the cold. "Everything okay? She didn't hurt you now, did she?"

She shook her head as she chuckled. "No, not really. I actually learned a lot of things from her."

"Like what?" I asked.

She smiled at me before winking. "That's a secret."

Her words made me chuckle. "Alright. I can respect that."

She then turned her and leaned on the railings with her back. "So you were saying something before we were interrupted?"

"What? Oh! Right! About today… thank you." I said.

She scoffed before she laughed loudly. "That's it! I was worried for nothing."

"Ya! I mean it. I had the best birthday so far because of you." I smiled at her while holding her hand.

She smiled back. "Well, Mr. Rich Guy, I feel honored."

We both laughed before we caught ourselves staring at each other's eyes. I knew right then that this wasn't just a liking feeling. It was love. Again, I was in love. I tried to open my mouth to say something but nothing came out. She must have noticed it because it made her giggle. "What's the matter, hubby? Cat got your tongue?"

I shook my head to snap out of the trance before I focused my gaze on her with a serious expression. "Dahyun-ie… Can I tell you something?"

She shrugged. "Sure, I'm all ears."

"Let's go out… for real…" I finally told her.
