Sun Jian's Return

Back in the present, Sun Jian returned with the supplies that Yuan Shu promised them when he sees his oldest son kneeling with his hand raised against the wall.

Huang Gai made a big theater about it but he ignored it. He could read the situation because he saw men under his son's command doing the same punishment while Sun Soldiers were overwatching everything.

He continued and find Cheng Pu with Sun Quan when he asks, "What happened while we were gone?"

"How about you come into the house, my lord. We can talk there without being disturbed by anyone," says Cheng Pu as Yun came around the corner when Sun Quan rushed at him.

He was wearing his armor today because he had a feeling his father was returning today. But the armor was a bit too heavy for him which made him lose balance and Yun caught the little guy before he could fall.

"It seems, the little Tiger wanted to meet the Dragon this desperate today. But how about you accompany your father today. We can talk about your training a little bit later," says Yun petting his head before putting Sun Quan on the ground again.

Yun waves at Sun Jian before he turns to where the carriage with supplies was and walked towards it. Sun Jian was confused with what was going on as he jumped off his horse as did his escorts.

"What is going on here?" asks Sun Jian confused as Sun Quan was getting too familiar with Yun.

"It seems that the young master adores General Zhao because of his far-sight. But it could also be because of his compliment compared to Sun Ce who was antagonizing his orders," says Cheng Pu as Sun Jian entered the house followed by his Generals.

"So what happened while we left?" asks Sun Jian as Cheng Pu told him everything that happened in Yangren since he left.

"So Sun Ce is being punished for holding supplies back from the people of this town," says Sun Jian as Cheng Pu nods.

"Yes, he and some of his men are punished for doing so," says Cheng Pu as Sun Jian nods understanding the action taken against his oldest son.

"But why is Sun Quan so attached to General Zhao?" asks Sun Jian as he was surprised that his second son that attached to Yun.

"Like said before General Zhao praised the young master and played with him by showing him the way of the sword," says Cheng Pu as Sun Jian was confused for a bit.

"Isn't General Zhao a spear wielder?" asks Sun Jian as he only saw Yun fight with a spear before.

"He is but it seems that he is talented with more weapons than just the spear," says Cheng Pu as they continued to talk.

Yun in the meantime was at the storage that Dian Wei was protecting as the soldiers were filling it when Yun says, "It seems we have enough supplies to reach Luoyang."

"It seems so, but we will need to leave some behind so the people of Yangren have enough to survive of until they can harvest again," says Dian Wei as Yun nods.

"Well, it seems we will be moving out in the next few days. I should inform the others of the situation," says Yun as he leaves after seeing that Dian Wei was dealing with the situation perfectly.

In the meantime in Luoyang, Dong Zhuo was sitting on the Emperor's throne while Xu Rong was informing him about his retreat from Yangren.

"A Banner with the name Zhao on it?" asks Dong Zhuo as Xu Rong nods when Lu Bu who was standing beside Dong Zhuo seemed excited from hearing that.

"He finally entered the field," says Lu Bu excited as everyone else was just no challenge for him on the battlefield.

"Who entered the field?" asks a middle-aged man that looked like a Barbarian compared to everyone else in the room.

"The General that Pacified the North, General Zhao Yun," says Dong Zhuo as he wasn't pleased that Yun joined the enemy instead of him.

"We have Lu Bu what is there to fear with the God of War on our side," says one of Dong Zhuo's Generals not afraid of a name that wasn't heard of for almost five years.

"You should feel fear," says Lu Bu with a mad smile on his face because of the excitement he was feeling.

"Lu Bu is right. Zhao Yun isn't someone we should underestimate. He is the only person that has defeated Lu Bu in a fair duel," says Dong Zhuo as he looked at his subjects seriously instilling fear into them.

"Is he that dangerous?" asks the Barbarian not feeling any fear.

"You will soon find out, Hua Xiong," says Dong Zhuo as he turned to Lu Bu and says, "Lu Bu, I want you to stop his advance with Hua Xiong and Hu Zhen. I want you to stop him at all cost."

"I want his head on a pike, do you three understand!" shouts Dong Zhuo as all people kneel down.

"We will do as commanded," say the three General before they leave the hall.

Lu Bu went to meet his troops when he finds Zhang Liao and Gao Shun waiting for him when Zhang Liao sees Lu Bu mad smile and says, "So he finally showed up."

"Yes, and we were ordered to hold his advance. It seems he is working together with Sun Jian and Yuan Shu," says Lu Bu as his two commanders could feel the excitement Lu Bu was feeling at the moment.

"We will finally clash for real on the battlefield with no one holding back," says Lu Bu as Zhang Liao and Gao Shun became nervous from seeing Lu Bu like this.

"Prepare the men we are moving out as fast as possible," says Lu Bu as he began to walk towards his manor while the other two bow before leaving to prepare the troops.

Lu Bu entered his manor and finds his daughter on his wife's lap while his wife was braiding her hair when she saw her father and tried to jump from her mother's lap only to find out that her mother was holding her still.

"Ma," says Lu Huixiu as she tried to free herself from her mother's clutches only to find out that it was pointless.

"Little Hui is quite energetic," says Lu Bu as he approached them.

"I hope that she becomes more ladylike when she gets older or her future husband will be disappointed," says Wei Mei as she finished braiding Huixiu's hair before letting her go.

Huixiu ran over towards Lu Bu and hugged his left leg before Lu Bu picked her up before saying, "How is my little Tigress doing?"

"Fine," says Huixiu with a bright smile when Lu Bu walks over towards his wife's side and sits down beside her.

"That's good since I want you two to leave Luoyang tonight," says Lu Bu as Wei Mei was confused about Lu Bu saying that.

"Why should we do that?" asks Wei Mei as she took Huixiu from Lu Bu.

"I will be going to the southern front to fight and it can be that I won't return from there. That's why I want you two in a place that is safe for both of you," says Lu Bu as Wei Mei could feel his excitement and knew very well that only one person could make him feel like that.

"Zhao Yun is in the southern front, am I right," says Wei Mei as Lu Bu nods.

"Yes, I will be fighting against him and Sun Jian at the same time. I will be in command of thirty thousand men but knowing Yun he has an army of the same size and Sun Jian is known to have an army of fewer than twenty-six thousand men after losing some men against Xu Rong," says Lu Bu as he knew that this fight will be difficult to win even if he had more men.

He knew the difference between himself and Yun. Yun was a calculative and intuitive General that plan everything and adapts to his enemy at the moment when he sees a flaw in the enemy formation.

He is more of an intuitive General that uses sheer force and will to win the battles, that's why he is looking for a Strategist for his army.

"Where do you want us to go? We are surrounded on every side the only way we could go would be Chang'an," says Wei Mei as she was scared that her husband would die in the southern front against the father of their future son-in-law.

"Then we will have to do something more dangerous," says Lu Bu as Wei Mei looked at her husband in disbelief.

"You want to take us with you?" asks Wei Mei as Lu Bu nods.

"Once we are near enough to send a messenger I trust to Yun so he can look after you two until the war is over," says Lu Bu as he didn't trust Dong Zhuo with his wife and daughter.

"It will be safe since I won't have to worry that the pig does something to either of you while I am gone," says Lu Bu as Wei Mei could see now why her husband wanted them out of the city.

"Then we will follow you rather than entering deeper into his territory," says Wei Mei as she placed Huixiu down before beginning to pack the necessary things they would need.

"Yun will have a way to get you to Zhending from there. Once I send a letter you will go to the appointed place with Huixiu and I will get you but until then you should stay in the Zhao Household," says Lu Bu seriously as he loved his family more than anything else.

"We will do so if they accept us but what if they can't help us without putting them in danger?" asks Wei Mei worried as Lu Bu didn't want to think about that.

"Yun wouldn't turn you away just because of that. He is too honorable to do so. He wouldn't have suggested the contract we signed if he was only thinking for his own benefits," says Lu Bu since it was Yun's idea to make the marriage contract between them to make sure it would happen in the future.

"When are we leaving?" asks Wei Mei as Lu Bu sighs.

"In three days most likely since we are leaving with Hua Xiong and Hu Zhen. They will need time to gather their troops, not like I," says Lu Bu as he picked his daughter back up who was confused with what was going on when Lu Bu kissed her forehead.

"Don't worry, little Tigress. Your father will make sure that you will be alright," says Lu Bu as he felt Huixiu's little arms around his neck hugging him.

Yun in the meantime was already preparing his men and he would be ready to march in two days while Sun Jian was still not knowing that soon history would be written.
