Elias woke in a familiar place, it was his room, "What happened?"
"You lost control." Elijah sitting in a chair next to Elias's bed snapped the book in his hand closed "How did it feel?"
Elias closed his eyes remembering the feeling of hunger, insatiable hunger.
"Like I had a hole in my stomach and no matter how much blood I drank it did nothing to abate the uncontrolla desire to feed."
"You've never had to deal with the hunger before, I think this has something to do with the full moon. We need to talk to Deaton, it's time he told us the whole truth."
"Rest and don't worry about school," Elijah stood from his chair walking to the door he stopped turning back. "Oh and I think it's time we began your training, feel free to invite Scott and Stiles."
Elias rested for 3 days, waking up that Monday he slept for a couple more hours before finally deciding to get out of bed, after taking a shower and brushing his teeth he sent Stiles a quick text. Both he and Scott would arrive after Lacrosse practice.
Elias went downstairs grabbed some grapes and took a seat at the piano. Elijah had been teaching him personally for as long as he could remember. Relaxing his hands on the keys he slowly began to warm up his fingers. It didn't take long for him to get in the groove of things, he changed from Mozart to Beethoven. Playing the piano relaxed his mind it allowed him to calmly look at things such as last night, the blood he drained from those three hunters did nothing to help his hunger but it did something.
It kept his Lycan side at bay but he had a feeling that continuing to consume blood in hopes of calming his Lycan side would be futile. It was like drinking water to abate the need for actual food, he just didn't understand what he was hungry for.
"When will they be arriving?" Elijah entered the room walking towards a shelf holding bourbon and whiskey glasses.
"After Lacrosse practice so at like 6, I guess." Elias broke from the keyboard no longer wanting to continue after being disrupted.
"Today will just be an introductory course, we have a dinner meeting at 8, wear one of the suits we recently bought for you."
Elias nodded grabbed a couple of grapes throwing them in his mouth.
"How are you feeling any desires to feed."
"You mean do I still feel the unquenchable hunger, the deep hole in my gut. Nope no more than usual, I'm sure it was the full moon that caused such an effect."
"We can never be too careful."
Elias nodded as he continued to eat his grapes, "Dad can I ask you a question?"
"Ask away."
"Why didn't Uncle Klaus show up for my birthday, I mean not even a call."
"Me and you Uncle Klaus had a little disagreement, that's why he isn't here, it has nothing to do with you if that's what you're thinking."
Elias could only nod, he had a feeling there was more to the story, but he could do nothing about that.
"Play Nocturne in E-flat major by Chopin." Elijah took a seat next to his son, a glass of bourbon still in his hand. Elias nodded playing Chopin gave him a different feeling from earlier, Chopin was one of the first of many well-renowned pianists he learned to play.
Time passed and Elijah eventually stood from his seat looking at his son, "I'll be in the basement, bring them down."
Elias was confused focusing his hearing he could hear Stiles and Scott talking.
"Stiles we don't have time for this didn't you hear Derek, he said he would kill us if we played in the game on Friday. I have to find out how to control this so I can play."
"Scott how about you just don't play in the game."
Scott frowned hearing that "I have to play you heard Lydia If I don't play I'm done for."
Stiles ignored him ringing the doorbell, Elias who was listening to their conversation immediately opened the door.
"Come in," Elias closed the door behind them immediately leading them to the basement, which looked more like an in house gym. In the middle of the room was a circle around the size of a UFC arena surrounded cages.
Elijah stood outside the cage his suit jacket laying on a chair to the side.
"Cool!" Stiles said looking at the arena, He was scared of Derek but Elijah Frightened him, he was sure he knew who would win in a fight if the two of them fought. And since being threatened by an Emo wolf sucked, he was willing to take his chances with Elias and his dad.
"Nothing is Cool." Elijah took a step forward causing Stiles to take a step back, "You three are reckless and even against all common sense you went to that party. You, Scott, put not only yourself in danger but your friend who stood with you that night while you ran around like an animal." Elijah turned his attention to his son, "Elias, I believe we came to an agreement, you were to stay here that night."
"You asked me if I could deal with the consequences of going to that party Because if I went and ended up going berserk, the only person I would be able to blame is me. Scott was going to that party regardless of the risks, and Stiles would follow him. I couldn't leave them." Elijah nodded turning back to Scott.
"Wait what about me, you said you three?" Stiles raised his hand, Elijah paused before sending his son a glance, Stiles was either brave or stupid.
"You're reckless by association," Stiles was honestly the one with the most common sense, Scott's mind was clouded with love, Elias was arrogant but that was to be expected with the way he was spoiled. But Stiles was just trying to make sure his friend didn't end up dead or worse.
Stiles put his hand down feeling left out.
"With your reckless nature, the three of you won't survive. So I'll teach you to not only protect yourselves but how to destroy your enemies. The way we Michaelson's have done for years."
"What exactly do you mean by Destroy?" Scott raised his hand nervously.
"Destroy, Kill, Decimate, what's the difference?" Elijah answered.
"The difference is I didn't come here to learn how to kill. Let's go, Stiles," Scott said heading back upstairs turning back when he saw Stiles was hesitating. "You're really going to stay here and learn from that psychopath." Scott huffed before continuing to ascend the stairs.
Stiles turned around with an apologetic smile, "I'll be right back."
"Take your time."
Stiles sprinted up the stairs catching up with Scott, "Scott you can't leave."
"Stiles we came here to learn to defend ourselves not kill."
"Scott if you didn't happen to notice we live in a different world now. Just earlier Derek threatened to kill us both, no to mention last night gun-waving werewolf hunters almost killed both you and Derek.
"Stiles we don't need to kill to survive."
"Scott that's where you're wrong, think about it, if werewolves are real what else do you think is out there hiding in the shadows."
"Stiles, what are you trying to say?"
"I'm saying there are other things out there."
"Like what Stiles?"
"Vampires!"
"Stiles I don't have time for this, I'll see you tomorrow." Scott turned away heading out the door. Stiles did the opposite heading back down the stairs a frown on his face.
"He's not coming back," Stiles said as he stood next to Elias.
"It's fine, today we won't be doing any actual training. Elias I'm heading upstairs to get ready, you should do the same soon. It was nice to officially meet you, Stiles."
"So what happened last Friday,"
"Let's go upstairs." Elias and Stiles quickly made it upstairs sitting in chairs. "I followed Scott, he was going after Derek, he thought Derek had done something to Allison. Derek barely had time to explain when the hunters showed up Derek ran but Scott froze he ended up getting shot by an arrow stuck to a tree. That's when I intervened saving him and Derek, I held off the hunters while they escaped."
"Than why didn't you show up at school today?"
"I went a little crazy that night, My dad ended up having to sedate me." Elias lied easily. "Look I have to get ready, but If you're interested in vampires when you get home search up the Michaelson's I wonder what you'll find."
"You were listening?" Stiles asked.
"I would never, gotta go, see ya, Stiles." Elias headed upstairs allowing Stiles to find the way out by himself.
An hour later
"I've been here before," Elias said looking at the house he and Elijah were currently standing in front of. "Who's house is this again?"
"Deaton's," Elijah said knocking on the door, a second passed when the door was finally opened by a confused Marin.
