Me And Pikachu (Red)

Two years ago....

"I'm going mom", I said, leaving for Professor Oak's Summer Camp. "Red, don't forget to take Pikachu with you", said Mom.

"Are you going to wear those shorts? ", asked Dad. "Umm.....Yep. Is something wrong?", I asked, bemused.

"Well... If I were you, I wouldn't wear them to camp...they are not exactly what I would call-campwear", said Dad, looking at my shorts.

I went upstairs to change it and then I wore my new track pants. I rode my bicycle to the camp.

The camp was on a hill near Pallet Town. While I was riding my bike, I bumped into a boulder and the chain of the bicycle broke and I had to walk while dragging my bicycle.

On the way, I met a friend and we walked to the camp together. When we reached, Professor Oak was explaining what we will do at the camp.

"Children, send out your Pokemon", said Professor Oak. "Pikachu, come out", I said, sending out Pikachu.

Professor Oak told us that we had to battle his Machamp who actually looked rather strong. He also told that he was going to test us upon how we battle it.

"Red, your turn", said Professor Oak. "I choose you, Pikachu. Use Thunderwave", I said. "Machamp, use Slam......but not too hard",said Professor Oak.

Dad's Pikachu was really strong and Machamp didn't stand a chance and fainted.

"Umm...Red, I must say that Pikachu is strong but I recommend using weaker Pokemon for a better training. You're going to become a trainer in a matter of time", said Professor Oak. "Yeah.....but this is the weakest one my Dad has. Maybe you should use a stronger one", I said, this was very rude, talking to Professor Oak like that.

Later in the evening, I got home with my broken bicycle and kept the cycle leaning to the wall, just outside the house.

I just entered and the telephone rang. I was just about to pick it up when my Dad came and picked it himself. Dad got worried and hung up the phone.

"I have to go", said Dad. He picked up his laptop bag and his Pokeballs and went outside in a matter of seconds.

Mom and I were both worried but we didn't knew what was happening. The next day, someone informed mom that he died in a bus accident, but in the newspaper it said that everyone survived the accident.

It seemed very suspicious. Dad's body was never to be found.

My dad gave Pikachu to Professor Oak before going, maybe he knew what was going to happen.

Pikachu was a great companion, or I should say that he IS a great companion and friend.

I have started my Pokemon Training with Pikachu and our JOURNEY AWAITS...
