Just a woman

"Huh? Well..." It was only when her husband pointed it out that Helen realized she had gotten too much out of character. Thanks to the pressure she was getting from Shera's deadline, she had almost forgotten that she didn't usually show any concern for anyone aside from Leo.

She awkwardly circled the desk and placed her hands on Julius' shoulder. She began to knead them gently as she gave an excuse she had just come up with, "Julius, our family is already facing so many hardships. We can't afford to fall apart anymore… the most important thing right now is for us to stick together. That way, it is more possible for us to come up with a solution. Otherwise, we will be makkng it easier for that woman to have her way."

It was strange that her mind could even compose such a thought but Julius couldn't debate against her words. She was right. Being apart had not helped them come up with anything so far. They should stick together. He nodded. "You are right this time."
