Light Up the Sky

Aleyn enjoying herself while her father and mother sees her, enjoying themself too. That's quite awkward for her and she think she might did something wrong.

"I - I'm sorry"

She bow her head and feel guilty. Seeing her daughter feel sorry, Europa bring their faces closer and talk.

"Why are you saying sorry, my dear. You have nothin wrong"

"It might the awkwardness make her thinking it was her fault"

Roland knows what his daughter feel. Europa quite surprised when her human husband speak out his thought. That even mada Europa stunned for a moment.

"Why do you look at me like I was a fool before"

"Yes, indeed"

"Wha – "

They started the debate again.

Aleyn take a peek to see the situation, but she have found by her mother and father stare. That made her bowing again. Her mother lift up her head with right hand, called her "dear" and talked.

"There is nothing wrong with having a debate with your daddy, you know"

"Debate?"

"Yea, it's just like, umm..."

"Talking about wether we cross the desert with feet or just fly to make it faster"

Roland came with a example to help Europa. But his words made another questioin for girls. Europa questioning their curiosity.

"Desert?"

"Yeah, you know there is a desert about ten mountain from here, right"

With "aaaa" and nodded, Europa finally remember about what Roland mentioned about, and the thing is, that is not just a normal desert. So having them fly might be a right choice. But there is something annoying Europa. Roland read her face and questioning her annoyed expression.

"What? You have a better idea"

"No, it's not I reject your idea. It's just, the way you hold Aleyn while flying, that's worried me"

"The way I hold her?"

Roland doesn't know what his wife means. If he think back the point she said, 'the way I hold Aleyn while flying'. He is just hold her in his hand, while maintaining arcana disk if she in his left hand.

"What's wrong with that?"

"That's dangerous! What if something happen in the sky and you have to fight. Without getting both of your hands ready, you are just endanger yourself"

"But, with Ogier – "

"This is different from running away"

Europa keep herself up when it comes to her beloved husband and daughter safety. If she fail to warn Roland, what might happened with both of them.

Roland snorted in understand. With both his hand in waist he talked confidently.

"Okay if that what you want"

"So you finally understand"

Even though they are in aggreement. Roland still walk closer to his daughter. Made Europa curios about what he would do.

Roland kneel down to his daughter and questioning some question before they go.

"Are you afraid of high place?"

"High place?"

"Yup, when I mentioned high place, it's referred to" Roland pointing to the sky at this point.

Aleyn looked up. Wondering what her father means by high place and sky.

"We will fly through the sky to get to where we are headed"

"Fly through the sky"

Aleyn muttered while shockedly, wondering what it feels like to go beyond the sky. She quite scared on imaginating it.

"Is that scary?"

"No, it's not"

There are no other respond than a face that asked her to trust them. For her father and mother, they give her a trusted face so she no need to feel worried.

"So, that's mean we are okay now"

Roland stand up and look at the sky. See that the weather is good enough to support their long journey. Meanwhile his dragon wife confincing his daughter to be more confident.

"Things gonna be okay, mommy won't be there for you. But don't worry, you wil be safe because life is in our side"

Europa stroking her daughter cheeks. Her daughter really enjoy it to the point that she pressed her face into her soft, tiny mother's hand.

"Okay, we have to go now"

With Roland signal, Europa stopped her intervention at Aleyn. Europa then flies to Aleyn's front, asking her to raise her hand once more.

Europa landing in Aleyn's hands and begin to talk.

"What you are going to see might surprised you. But believe me, mother is part of you father and will always be on your side"

Aleyn doesn't know what her mother means before something happen. Every inch of her mother body begin to vanish and become green light praticles.

Aleyn want to cry at first. But her mother assured her and the direction of the green particles of light made her quite calm.

"Don't worry. As long as your father lives, mommy will also live" said Europa while fully vanishing, turn into green light, and leads directly to Roland's right chest.

After the green particle touch Roland's right chest, it's vanish as it enter into it.

"Don't worry. Your mom safely enter my – dad dimensional room. And she need to come back to that place because dad can't use his power if mom's existence realized to this world"

Roland tried his best to explain what was going on. But that seems the student can't get the lesson he explained.

Roland try one more times before they get ready to fly.

"Well, as your mom said before, there is noting to worry. After all you will fly with mom later"

Aleyn shocked in excited when her father mentioned her mother figure. But how they will fly if her mother figure is tiny as her hands.

"You don't need to questioning yourself so hard. You just need to feel it right away later"

Roland kneel down as his left hand widened. Telling Aleyn to come in to him. After realised it Aleyn quickly come in her father hand and give her father hug on his neck.

Roland's big hand raised Aleyn's tiny body on his arm. Aleyn quite surprised when her father lift up her again but now in more gently way.

The preparation ready and Roland start creationed the arcana disk, Amplification Sword, and fairy wings that materialized from four short sword.

Aleyn quite nervous because the first time she flying with Roland, that's because they are running away from a mad man, and that was really fast happening. Could father do the same now? She silently asked.

"You ready?"

Roland questioning her feeling before they fly. There is a don't worry expression in his face. So maybe he will fly more gently this time.

Aleyn nodded and said "Un" for her confirmed.

"Okay, here we go"

Roland's fairy wings start doing it function and make them fly slowly to the sky. Not like before, Roland slowly accelerating their flight. Trying to make Aleyn more enjoy of the flight this time.

Aleyn seems feeling what her father did this time. Slowly they are reach the sky. Slowly they are getting far from the ground and that's a bit scary. But when she looked into the sky, her fear paid off.

She opened her mouth and moaning, "Whooaa" to the sky.

Last night she is very enjoy what the sky looks like, and now, she can feel herself what it's feels like to get close to the sky.

They are closer to the boundary between blue and black sky, a place where clouds roam from one direction to another. Then when Aleyn can feel the clouds that passing by, Roland stopped.

Roland paused for a moment in it's place, floated, letting Aleyn enjoy what she was looking at.

On her place, Aleyn's head looking at every direction. She looked in far direction as long as she didn't look into the direction below her.

She even can see Francia kingdom in that place. Palaces on the highlands are very clear from the sky.

"Hey"

Aleyn spashiing out at the palace direction, then Roland wake her up and pointing up.

In there she can see very clear of the cosmos she had seen before. When she look at the ground, it seems quite tiny, but when she sees it now, she realize that the cosmos is very big that she could never imagine.

She was still tempted to continue to see cosmos. But something atracted her by it brightness. When she try to look at it, her eyes feel pain. Even Roland's arm quickly cover her eyes from it brightness.

"Don't look directly to the sun in this height"

Roland warned while Aleyn regret and rubbing her eyes.

Aleyn eyes quite sensitive from brightness, that makes her eyes itchy after sees the sun directly.

Roland worried and said "You okay?" after she finished rubbing her eyes.

At her father question Aleyn nodded genuinely, then say "I'm okay" while smiling.

Roland smiled too at her daughter innocence.

"Then we will start flying to the place we headed. Try to hold on tight"

Roland began to tilt his body and drove.

Aleyn's back at the ground direction, but her father hold her feet tightly and she try to hold on tight too at her father's neck.

They drove quite fast this time. Drove in the sky in calmness. However, at that speed Aleyn feels it might fun if she can touch the wind while they are flying.

She took a peek at her father face. He seems focused in the direction where they are headed. So maybe it's fine if she just let her one hand from her handle to touch the sky.

She began to release her left hand from her father's neck. Trying to not let her father knows what she is doing. She succed and now her left hand can feel the wind. But when she starts to enjoy the feeling of freedom, suddently her father figure gone nowhere.

She was very surprised because her body floated and began to fall down.

"Waaa – "

But right after she want to scream, she fall into a very soft and hairy body.

She wasnt' fall to the ground neither to a grass. She fall onto somewhat furred body of a creature. In the next instant she fell and sit at the back of the creature, the creature talk to her with very recognizable sound.

"You okay, dear?"

It is her dragon mother voice. Now that she realizes. She was sitting at her mother's white furry back, and at her right and left direction, Aleyn can see her mother black and white wings.

"Your stupid father, he wasn't talk about will change place with me. Then after he did that, you were already floating and begin to fall"

Her mother somehow mad at her father. Aleyn can't see clearly what's her mother face look like at this form when she look at forward direction.

"Dear?"

That time Europa tilting her long neck and looking at Aleyn.

Aleyn quite surprised because, at her mother tiny form, she was really cute and gentle at the same time. But at this big form, Aleyn can feel that her mother is really beautiful and gentle at the same time.

At her mother form now, Aleyn stunned at the beauty emitted.

"Dear? Are you not feeling good now?"

Her mother asked and see at front direction again. There Aleyn finally woke up and answered.

"No, I'm okay!"

She quite scream because she knows that her normal voice couldn't reach her mother's ear.

Meanwhile her mother talk with a somewhat power so she can hear her mother voice clearly in her ear.

"That's good then. So, how are you feeling now?"

At her mother question, Aleyn had difficutly finding the right words to express her feeling now.

She was very grateful because she found a new family that want to adopt and take care of her. Then now she in the sky she was dreaming to fly on. Seeing so many beautiful and 'amazing' things she had never seen.

Amazing? Maybe it's the right words.

Aleyn take a deep breath and scream "Amazing!" to her mother. Then she give her mother sight a very bright smile she ever did.

Europa heart filling with happines that even can make her cry in happiness if she not hold it.

"That's very good, then. Keep your bright smile so you can light up the sky"

Europa returned to look forward to avoid overdosing on the sweetness of her daughter

Aleyn and Europa having a very good time. Meanwhile in a fully white dimension, Roland faced with a large black shadow figure.

"Do you have business with this ordinary man, Bloody Vampire King?"
