After a whole minute of depressing mood, Lyla finally clear out the muddle thoughts. Sooner or later they will meet. And it's not something that she wants to avoid. Part of her wanted to see the kind of people they are and another part of her just wanted to keep hiding. But for how long? Since she got the invitation, might as well just for it. Nothing would happen.
"Let's just go. But can i bring my kids along? I don't feel like leaving them behind. If i can't then i might as well not go." Lyla said.
"I'll ask the organizer after this. But won't it be dangerous bringing them? Don't you think you will expose the kids into danger?" Braxton was the one who said it. Although he becomes grumpy when Dylan said he's a babysitter but in truth he's the one willingly to spend his time with them. It reminds him of having his dead sister around. Except this is triple of her.
"They're my kids. No one can hurt them. Especially when they're under my watch." Dylan said casually.
"You do realize they're just 1 years old?" Braxton couldn't help but pointed this out. He doesn't seem to understand why would Dylan acted like they're already teenagers.
"Which makes it easier." Lyla couldn't help but rolled her eyes. This side of her husband is something even she herself could never understood. But she knows he will have his people around. With bigger status, comes greater threat. Something that they accept and prepared earlier on. Thus, she's not too worried bringing the triplets with her to the dinner even though they were about to face some enemies. Just like she said to Braxton, she would only go if her triplets could come and if they agree they need to agree with her list of do's and don't as well. Just because the people who invited them some big shots it doesn't mean she would easily comply. She's not someone that other people can meet nor find. So what if you're the Lyon family? None of that matters.
"It's fine Braxton. If they dare to invite me then that means they just want to show off some powers or probably they're just curious. Either way, i would only go if my triplets can go and they would need to follow my rules." Braxton is having trouble keeping up with every word that she said. It wasn't much but why is it he feels like he's having ear infection making him hearing some ridiculous thing. Especially when he hear that last sentence. He wants to laugh but looking at Lyla who said it all too serious he realize it's not a joke. Follow the rules according to her way?
"Ermmm,,, Lyla, i'm not sure is it because you've been married to Dylan too long that some of his attitude got rub onto you but did i hear you said you wanted them to follow your rules? Your own rules in THEIR annual dinner party? Where you as their INVITED GUEST and them as the HOST? You wanted them to follow YOUR rules? Don't you think it's strange?" He couldn't help to emphasize the important point in his sentence so that he can probably wake her up one way or another.
"How did you end up being a broken radio?" Dylan who look like he haven't heard anything wrong with what his wife said a minute ago seem to be having fun teasing Braxton. Braxton just glared not wanting to bother his annoying tactics.
Lyla snorted.
"Then they shouldn't invited a mother of triplets in the first place." With that, she pulled Dylan along with her inside the house when she can hear her kids calling them indicating they've finished taking their bath and they're all clean up. Leaving behind flabbergasted Braxton. He feels like screaming saying she's not the only who have kids but it all died down thinking it's not worth it. With Dylan's status right now, he can afford to offend just anybody. The Lyon? What of it? He would just follow them and watch a good show. He ended up making the call to the organizer and inform them about Lyla's answer.
