Ch. 30 Dreams

Lila woke up with a start. Groggily she rubbed the sand from her eyes and looked about her dark room. The flower vases and the boxes of chocolates were gone. Lila yawned and lay back in her bed to rest some more.

"What a weird dream." she said to the empty room sleepily.

The three squirming figures had sprung apart at Isaac's commanding,

"WAIT-" The trio looked up as Isaac finished mumbling that he knew the stranger. Spencer smiled dumbly at Isaac.

"Found you!" he said with a laugh. Isaac, whom was annoyed glared at Spencer. With a smile he retorted.

"Yes, but how?" Spencer glanced so quickly at the other two people in the room that only Isaac noticed.

"I followed blonde-y here back to his place, cause I saw you talk earlier today. I figured you told him where you were going so I followed and planned to ask him, but he's fast. I could barely keep up." The lie feel easily on Isaac's ears. He could tell Spencer was lying because he stuffed his hands in his pockets and tried to act casual. "The one who has been 'distracting' you?" asked Francis who had apparently overheard the conversation Josh and Isaac had had in their cafe. Spencer, whose interest had been peaked gave Isaac a curious look with a small smile upon his lip. Embarrassed Isaac explained,

"Distracted from my work by a friend is all." Spencer's smile grew and he chuckled.

"Well, I won the bet so... wait... we never really discussed my prize did we?" Isaac looked at the ground, he felt as if he had given Spencer an empty check. Afraid to lose something Isaac retorted,

"What do you want? I'm not gonna give you anything big!" Spencer chuckled slight as he approached Isaac. The brothers looked at the two interacting suspiciously. They had never seen Isaac so flustered. Resting his hand on Isaac's head Spencer responded seriously, looking deep into Isaac's eyes,

"I think you know what I want..." The pair of brothers not knowing what to do suddenly wanted to step in, but found themselves unable to. There was a silence as Isaac stared at the floor. The silence was deafening as Spencer stared at Isaac waiting for a response. The tension in the room could have been cut with a knife it was so thick. Suddenly Spencer ruffled Isaac's hair and straightened laughing.

"I want-"
