Julian returned to his hotel room and put on a do not disturb sign in front of his door, he then locked his room from the inside and soundproofed his room so that he can begin his interrogation.
He sat down on his bed and placed a chair in front of him.
Julian "Gengar, bring her out"
He said.
Gengar's shadow moved towards the chair in front of him and soon a figure rose out of the shadow, it is none other than hunter J and she doesn't seem to be in a good condition, her hair is very messy and her eyes are bloodshot red.
She must have not slept for days, Gengar must have mentally screwed with her really bad, Julian could see that she is trying her best not to sleep, Gengar must have really fucked up her in her dreams.
Seeing how lost she was, Julian even pitied her, he knows how dangerous mental torture can get, physical torture can somehow be survived but mental torture that lasts for days is something no one should be put through, but with all the heinous crimes that hunter J has committed, Julian doesn't care what Gengar did to her in her time inside his shadow dimension.
Julian watched as hunter J swayed her head from left to right as she read her surrounding, Julian let her calm down for a few seconds before he starts questioning her again.
Hunter J stopped looking around, by now she is fully aware that she is no longer in that scary dark place, but she also knows her situation isn't any better, she is at the mercy of the man sitting in front of her, she has lived a long life as a hunter and she has gone through several hardships.
She has been tortured before, her skin burnt, her nails ripped, her teeth pulled out, being electrocuted but she never opened her mouth but the mental torture that she was put through by that monster was something she wouldn't even wish on that man sitting in front of her, who is the reason she experienced it.
Hunter J wanted to sleep, she hasn't slept for 38 hours now, the strain it has put on her body is immense, she wants to sleep but she cannot, every time she goes to sleep those nightmares start and when they start she wants to kill herself.
Those nightmares are not just scary dreams, those are memories of her that she doesn't want to go through at all but Gengar forced her to watch them, he would even alter them and make them even worse and then let her live it, again and again, again and again, again and again.
She couldn't take it, she would rather die with her eyes open than sleep.
Julian smirked seeing hunter J struggle, she is clearly one of the worst humans he has met in this life, he didn't care about her current situation.
He slapped her cheeks left and right to grab her attention, hunter J looked at Julian with her bloodshot eyes and wondered what this man is after.
Julian "Nice to meet you again, things didn't go out how I wanted previously, you escaped and went back to doing the same thing that got you caught, don't you guys learn anything?"
Julian asked.
Of course, he didn't get an answer from hunter J but he didn't mind, he knows that hunter J will talk, he doesn't need to put her through any other torture routine, Gengar has done what he needs to, he just needs to offer her the comfort that she has been wishing for days now.
Even a glimpse of that comfort will break her, Julian is just playing with her right now.
Julian "I always wondered, what is it that makes you choose this path, is it money? I wonder how much money does selling pokemon make?"
He asked but he still didn't get an answer.
Julian "You should start talking or I am going to put you back to sleep"
Julian said with a smile, he had no coldness in his voice but hunter J felt it, she felt the horror in his words, she didn't want to go to sleep.
Hunter J "Millions, rare and powerful ones go over 100 million"
She said.
Hearing this Julian was surprised but he also expected such numbers, these idiots put their life on the line to catch these pokemons.
Julian "If that Articuno was caught, how much would it make?"
Hunter J "Over 250 million poke dollars"
She said.
Julian "I see"
Julian said and went into thinking, the money these hunters get indeed seem pretty high, a single good capture can set these hunters for life, and with hunter J's skill and reputations, she must have accumulated a massive fortune with this.
Julian realized any money-hungry idiot would do things that hunter J does, no matter what the outcome.
Julian "Well, I am done with chit-chat, let's get down to the business, why were you after the Zygarde core that night?"
Julian asked while staring right into hunter J's eyes.
Hunter J hesitated to answer but she also knows there is no other option, though she has always made sure to never reveal her client's name, this time that is not the option, she doesn't have any wish to get tortured again.
