384. Zhuge Liang and Lu Xun Dream

Seeing that Lu Lingqi was standing in front of the door not moving whatsoever, her handmaidens were confused and called up to her asking her if everything was okay, as she was just standing in front of the door.

Lie Fan and Jia Xu stopped talking the moment they heard a knock on the door, and when Lu Lingqi's voice was heard announcing her presence and asking for permission to enter, Lie Fan immediately allowed her to come in while he apologized to Jia Xu.

Jia Xu shook his head and said that it wasn't a disturbance for him, as what he wanted to convey to Lie Fan had been conveyed, and Lu Lingqi's presence allowed him to take his leave.

Being given permission to enter, Lu Lingqi alongside her handmaidens entered the study bringing the refreshments, seeing Jia Xu standing in front of Lie Fan's table, she greeted him with total respect like she was greeting Chen Gong in the past.

The greeting was returned by Jia Xu, who then wanted to take his leave by saying his goodbye to both Lie Fan and Lu Lingqi, before Lie Fan could stop him, however Lu Lintooktake the lead by telling Jia Xu then she prepare refreshments for him, and Lie Fan.

He could take his leave after enjoying the refreshments with her and Lie Fan, and when Lu Lingqi finished saying her words Jia Xu turned to Lie Fan asking for his permission.

Lie Fan was still surprised by Lu Lingqi's action because, amongst his wives, she is definitely the boldest as only she dared to treat Jia Xu like that, not even Ying Yue who had known Jia Xu the longest dared.

Seeing that Lie Fan gave his permission, Jia Xu could only reluctantly stay Mac and enjoy the refreshments that Lu Lingqi brought for him and Lie Fan, and spent the afternoon there talking with Lie Fan and Lu Lingqi.

While they were conversing in the study, outside of Lie Fan's study in the garden Sima Yi and Wannian were spending time together after Sima Yi declared that he wanted to pursue Wannian at the pond.

The two of them were visiting Baixue's grave, Wannian's dog that was gifted to her by Lie Fan in the past which had unfortunately passed away due to old age, and there's nothing the doctors could do to prolong its age.

Wannian was putting several of Baixue's favorite treats and toys beside Baixue's grave so that in the afterlife Baixue could still enjoy her favorite treats and play with her favorite toys.

Seeing that Wannian is enveloped by sadness remembering Baixue, Sima Yi frowns as he is distressed by how sad Wannian is.

He put his coat above her hiding her from anyone's eyes and said to Wannian that she could cry letting her heart out, and the moment Wannian heard what Sima Yi said Wannian began to cry but tried to keep her voice from coming out.

This lasted for a short time, and Sima Yi who heard the muffled voice of Wannian crying felt his heart being sliced continuously, where he then began to think about what could he have done to reduce her sadness.

Even though Baixue had passed away some time ago, Wannian could never forget the snow white dog that accompanied her for almost her entire life in Xiapi, especially when Lie Fan went out to war continually in the past.

Both Lie Fan and Sima Yi had tried to give her new dog to accompany her, but every single one of them was rejected by Wannian as she didn't want to taint her memories of Baixue.

As Sima Yi was thinking of ways to do it, from several meters of their location Sima Yi didn't notice that he and Wannian were being watched by Zhuge Liang and Lu Xun, who had come to the Lie Clan residence to meet with him.

They had wanted to meet with Sima Yi since they heard of the news of his graduation from the academy, but they never met with Sima Yi either because he was too busy doing his new assignment on Lie Fan's page or following Lie Fan who is doing his duties.

When Sima Yi had free time or not doing anything, it was their turn who was either busy with academy assignments or their personal tutor was giving them personal tutoring, whereas Zhuge Liang was tutored by Xun You while Lu Xun tutored by Chen Gong and Lu Su.

Now when they were finally free from all of their duties and knowing that Sima Yi was also free and that Lie Fan hadn't gone out from the Lie Clan residence, they decided to visit Sima Yi.

But they had never expected to see such seven, where Sima Yi treating Wannian so kindly and caring surprising the two of them, because even though they had seen Sima Yi treat Wannian special, but never to such a degree.

Lu Xun: "Brother Kongming, my eyes aren't deceiving me, right? Brother Zhongda was covering Sister Wannian with such a warm and caring attitude!"

Zhuge Liang: "No Boyan your eyes don't deceive you, I also saw what is happening right now. I never expected that Zhongda would manage to gain Lord Lie Fan's approval to pursue Sister Wannian."

Lu Xun: "Really?! Wow, Brother Zhongda is amazing! But Brother Kongming, are you okay with this? Aren't you also had some feelings for sister Wannian?"

Zhuge Liang: "I'm alright Boyan no need to worry about me, I did have some feelings for her in the past but now already come to terms with letting those feelings go, because I don't want to ruin the friendship the three of us have."

Lu Xun: "You're very mature Brother Kongming! Just like Brother Zhongda, if it were me I would have definitely tried my best to compete against Brother Zhongda, even though I was terrified of his somewhat gloomy personality and eccentric way of thinking."

Zhuge Liang shook his head amused by Lu Xun's words, among the three of them he was the youngest and the most normal in terms of personality and actions he had done which was in line with his age.

Of course, his talent and mind couldn't be underestimated, as he could stand to toe with him and Sima Yi.

He turned back to see Sima Yi and Wannian in the garden, and just like what he had just said to Lu Xun he did have feelings for Wannian also, and even tried to compete against Sima Yi but failed miserably as Wannian didn't notice the feelings the both of them had, and Sima Yi had bested him in every move.

As Zhuge Liang and Lu Xun were watching Sima Yi and Wannian, Sima Yi who was thinking suddenly felt someone looking at him and Wannian from his left, so he turned his head to see who is it.

He then sees Zhuge Liang and Lu Xun looking at him and Wannian, causing his face to turn grim, and knowing that they had been found by Sima Yi, Lu Xun shuddered in fear while Zhuge Liang let out a smile.

Zhuge Liang decides to let his and Lu Xun's presence known to Wannian, so he lets out a loud voice to announce their presence, causing Wannian who was crying wipe her eyes and stand up.

Where she then felt the coat that Sima Yi had used to cover her from people's sight, warming her heart and causing her to turn around to thank Sima Yi with a bright smile catching him off guard.

Wannian then left the area as she didn't want Zhuge Liang and Lu Xun to see her face and Sima Yi didn't come up from his daze until Zhuge Liang and Lu Xun were in front of him.

Sima Yi: "What are the two of you doing here?! Why haven't you two told me that you both wanted to visit? You just ruined a moment between me and Sister Wannian."

Lu Xun: "Haha sorry Brother Zhongda, it is not that we wanted to ruin your private moment, but we never expected that you would be with Sister Wannian."

Sima Yi: "Whatever, now tell me why are the two of you here? Do you want to meet with Lord Lie Fan or come bearing some message?"

Zhuge Liang: "No to both of those, the reason we are here is that we wanted to discuss our dreams with you, someone that we knew would relate with us."

Sima Yi: "Discussing the dreams the both of you had? Well, now it's an interesting topic, I couldn't say that I could relate but out with it, what dreams do the two of you have?"

Lu Xun: "I wanted to prove myself to my Uncle! So I would like to ask Brother Zhongda to help me convince Lord Lie Fan to allow me to go to Lujiang, and do some practical assignments there for a year!"

Zhuge Liang: "As for me, I wanted to ask for your help to convince Lord Lie Fan as well, to persuade my uncle Zhuge Xuan to let me leave Xiapi and roam the land for two to three years broadening my mind and vision of the world."

The moment Sima Yi heard what both Zhuge Liang and Lu Xun's dreams were and their request to help him, he knew that he had a bad feeling about the money he saw the two of them peeking at him and Wannian.

He had a headache because in truth he wanted to help the two of them, who he had thought of as his junior brothers from the academy and the only two people in their generation that could give him a challenge.

Convincing Lie Fan to help them wasn't a hard thing for him to do, and Lie Fan is a very understanding and open minded man, as long as what you said to him made sense and had value he would definitely allow you to do what you want, what caused him to have a headache is the possible fallout from their action as Zhuge Xuan and their tutors would definitely come to him as he helped them to leave from Xiapi.
