She's sick...

After getting Nazreen treated by their residence doctor, Anston brought him to his grandfather's office on U7.

Knock knock knock knock

He knocked four times on the door and waited for Loh Liwei's permission to enter the room.

"Come in." A voice sounded from the room. However, instead of a man's voice, they heard a woman's voice ordering them.

"Shit!" Anston looked at Nazreen's face… Luckily he didn't hurt his face. If not, Anston could be the next one to receive a blue black face for his honeymoon.

Anston cleared his throat before putting his index finger on the scanner. Once the verification was cleared, the door slid open.

This was Loh Liwei's secret office. The room that he brought Nazreen when the first arrived was where the patriarch receive guests. But only approved personnel and family members are allowed the chance to enter this secret office. So far, only his grandmother, uncle, the twins and himself were the only family members are allowed to enter. Even his parents were not given the privileges.

Anston and Nazreen slowly entered the room. More like Anston was trying to dampen down his presence while entering the room.

"Greetings to you, Lilith" Anston greeted the woman first. "Greetings to you, Lucifer." He greeted his grandfather next.

"At ease," the woman replied. "Anston, have you prepared all the necessary for your trip?" She asked him.

"Yes, nǎi nai. All has been packed. It has also been loaded up the jet," Anston replied with a wide grin while walking briskly towards his grandmother. His heart was beating so fast and loud he was scared the woman could detect his anxiousness.

"Why are you here?" He hugged her from her back while bending down to make sure his arms goes around the woman's shoulder.

"Your yé ye mentioned that he was going to test my new grandson. Of course I am here to watch…" People, especially people from the older generation or even those prestigious family, would think that a woman can be a great support to their man but should never have a say in how a man runs his business or family… However, Chen Huian, she was one of the pillars in the Loh's stronghold.

Being the sole heir to Country C's Chen family growing up, she was treated like a male descendant by her father. Being born in a military family, Chen Huian was involved in military training, espionage and development. In fact, that was how Chen Huian got to meet with Loh Liwei that resulted in many 'first experience' for the then young Loh Liwei.

She is also more involved with the family's younger generation's training then her life partner and more strict with the family's discipline. All her children and grandchildren are more scared of her then they are of the patriarch.

The saying 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' was a true testament of how they view this woman.

"Good job in avoiding his face!," The woman patted Anston's hand wound around her shoulder with a subtle sincere smile on her face.

"You've taught me well, nǎi nai…"

Chen Huian's philosophy in fights:

There's no such thing as honorable fights.

Never spare an enemy lest they come for revenge in the future

Always find an advantage over your opponent, regardless how and what

Never under any circumstances should you hurt your opponents' face in a fight!

🤣🤣🤣🤣

That last rule! Gets me every single time!

Imagine, your opponent's face is so d*mn irritating that you just want to beat the hell out of him but you can't touch his face! 😠😠😠

"Nazreen, why are you just standing there? Come! Come sit with me…" she calls the young man who was standing in the middle of the room like a soldier awaiting instructions from his superiors.

"Thanks, nǎi nai," he walked towards the umber brown Chesterfield leather sofa. Nazreen took a seat on her left while Anston sat on her right.

Loh Liwei was sitting at his desk looking at some documents whilst ignoring the commotions in the room.

"Nazreen, my son has told me of how you and Hidayah met. But there is something I need to tell you," she looked at her grandson-in-law and then looked at the other two in the room, "you too, dear…"

Loh Liwei raised his head and looked at his wife. Her expression was grim. "Hidayah… she is sick. Imran came to me four months ago with her health report."

Anston and Loh Liwei looked at the woman, shocked. Nazreen was shocked too…

"Aiyoh… I knew she did not tell you about it… The only reason why Imran came to me was because she refused to go through with her chemotherapy."

She cast her eyes down while gripping on Nazreen's hands, "Nǎi nai need your help…" she looked up again and looked straight into Nazreen's eyes, "I need you to convince her to go for her treatment. If she is afraid of the chemo due to the side effects, convince her to go for surgery. Imran told me the tumor was localised and treatable. Though, tricky… but still doable…"

How should a man who just came in to her life convince a stubborn woman to do something that could result in an irreversible end?

At least Chen Huian knows the man sincerely love her granddaughter even though the circumstances that brought them together was not an ideal scenario for anyone. If not, why would a young abled prince of a nation insist on keeping his marriage?

"I will try my best, nǎi nai." The man replied. His voice was shaken but full of assurance.

Both Loh Liwei and Chen Huian nodded their head.

"Now, since I have spoken the serious matter, I am left with another. Nazreen, later, I have arranged for you to sleep with Hidayah after you return from the trip. So your mission for the next few days is to make her fall in love with you! I know your yé ye has arranged for you to stay in the same room for the trip by forcing the rest to join the group. That girl, she can be stubborn and indifferent but she has a good heart. Do you think she wanted to be the next matriarch? If only the men in the younger generation shows any interest in taking over the family, your father-in-law and your yé ye wouldn't have named her as their heir…" she gave her grandson sitting by on her right a condescending glare.

"Nǎi nai, you cannot blame us… we just have no interest to be the next patriarch and furthermore, she has a better prospect than us to bring our family higher in the future…" Anston defended himself and his brothers.
