163 Roxi 's Future

Baron, Roxi, Guan Yu, and now even Yue Fei were all in their base and were discussing what to do about Roxi's future. This would be an important decision as what they decide upon now will be the basis of their relationship with each other until they choose to change it later on.

(BM) "So, Roxi, I know that all of this is a bit much to take in, but what are your thoughts on all of this?" Baron asked out of curiosity.

(RB) "Planet 4, the Chinese community, endless wars, many great historical figures, I really think that this planet is perfect for you. Just not for me and as you said before, the circumstances on my arrival here are not what they were for you or anyone else on this planet. While I will help you out in your goal to gain power, I think I will only do so in the shadows." Roxi laid it all out for everyone to hear. What she said was insightful, just not what they were expecting.

(GY) "There is nothing that we can fault you for making this decision, but I think you should make that choice after the tournament ends to finalize it. After all, this type of thing is life-changing, not to mention eye-opening for many. Perhaps it will change your mind, perhaps not." Guan Yu spoke with many years of experience under him.

(YF) "Guan Yu is right, this is one of my first times attending such a major event like this and it has changed my views of our reality even though I have been here for centuries as well." Yue Fei encouraged Roxi.

(RB) "I just don't know if I can continue to go through another life of warfare as I had done in the past. Baron's death the first time around was downright traumatizing, I don't really know if I can handle seeing him die again. Even if it is not a permanent one, I'm not sure how my mind would take it."

(BM) "Worry not, Roxi. You are a strong individual. You ended up going back into warzones after I passed. That just proves that nothing can stand in your way of doing what you wish. Don't forget, you are a part of Blaze, the family with the most outstanding record of accomplishments anywhere in the world. Be true to yourself, and although you shun them, their blood runs through you all the same." Baron reassured her.

(RB) "I can't forgive my family for what they did to me, but in a weird way, that speech was really all I needed, thanks, Baron."

(BM) "You know I'll always be here for you, Roxi. The day I don't is the day that you should no longer be beside me. Anyways. For now, what we should do is to make sure that your identity is hidden. That way, if you do make a name for yourself, you will not be recognized and therefore put any more value upon your name than it already has to be next to us."

(YF) "What do you think? I got this just for you since all you had on was what you passed away in and I happened upon it on my way back here." Yue Fei asked as he pulled out a cloak that was all brown in color, and sort of a camouflaged slightly on the outside. He also brought out a new set of clothes.

Roxi slipped into another room and she put on the clothes that Yue Fei had brought for her. They fit surprisingly well except for the cloak, which she planned to get tailored later on. She went back to the previous room and everyone approved of her new attire.

(BM) "Looks nice, but I think you are more into the more camouflaged look?"

(RB) "Ah, you still remember."

(BM) "Yes, let me take you to a tailor shop, if you want to roll with us, you must at least look like you mean business. Come on."

The two of them left to go do that while Guan Yu and Yue Fei spent their time in the hall of records as they had not gotten a chance to do so. Baron had already watched all of the replays that he cared to do, and before the tournament started, he really wanted to spend a bit more time with Roxi. While they were at the shop, Baron remembered that Roxi was essentially penniless in this place and she would need some coins to do anything. So he gave her a couple thousand to start off with. There was still clearly chemistry between them, but they were both so awkward about it.

On the one side, Baron wished to respect Roxi's wish for wanting space, after all, she spent her whole life after him not getting it on with anybody else. As for Roxi, she knew that Baron still had feelings for her, but she wasn't sure if she should go through with it. Losing him the first time was hard enough to bear, several decades later, it still hurt. Baron had constantly been on her mind when she was still on earth, but that was more for him being the guide to the life that she chose to live after he passed, not for being the whole reason of her being.

Decisions, decisions, so many decisions. The two of them spent the rest of the day just roaming around the community just enjoying each other's presence. Once the morning sun rose up, they decided to go for one more day of fun, just between the two of them. However, today would be Roxi's choice of where they would go. Going to the shooting range, which was rarely used in the Chinese community, going to the weapons blueprint auction, going to various restaurants, and all of that fun stuff. Now that that was all said and done, there was now only 1 more day before the tournament officially began.
