His only love

In the next few days, Li Yan focused on her recovery. She started to eat well and full meals without any side effects.

Zhuang Mei was always by her side and Min Zuo dropped by everyday bringing different types of candy to make her smile.

One day he bought sugar candy, then jelly's and caramel flavoured wafers. Li Yan ate everything without a care for her weight as the days in the hospital made her frail and weak.

Now, her cheeks had a healthy rosy glow and event the doctors are surprised on seeing her recovery.

The glass clad office was filled with pin-drop silence. A young man in his early twenties stared at the details in the folder in his hands with bloodshot eyes. His face lacked any emotion but his pursed lips and clenched lips gave away his deepest emotions.

A woman in her late twenties sighed with a tired expression on her face. On close observation, anyone could tell they are siblings due to their close resemblance. The man looked extremely stunning and the woman resembled a gentle beauty.

" Little Min, calm down.." Wang Mei tried to console her brother. No one knew her brother more than her. She also knew how much the girl in question meant to him. That's the only reason she bought the information to him without their father's knowledge.

She never loved anyone in her life, so she never rejected the match her father arranged for her. Luckily, her husband is quite caring and slowly she came to love him.

But, her brother is different. He only had one girl in his mind since childhood. He always looked at her from far.

But, when he decided to pursue her their father did not allow him and sent him far away from this place on the pretext of studies.

Wang Mei sighed again as this is the fate for those belonging to the royal lineage. They have everything except the thing that their heart desires the most.Their Wang family are the descendants of the royal Wang family. They practically lived the life of prince and princess all their lives surrounded by wealth.

" Sister, how can I be calm after seeing all this?" Wang Jiu spoke in a hoarse voice. He remained calm for a while before speaking again " I did whatever he wanted. The only thing I ever asked him is to inform me if anything happened to her."

Wang Mei knew that her brother is referring to their father Wang Zen.

" Leave it be.." Wang Mei was frustrated by her father's actions. So, she immediately changed the topic " What are you going to do now?"

" He broke his promise, so I no longer care about all this.." he spoke while pointing towards his luxurious suit and diamond clad watch.

" I am going to talk with him." Wang Min hurriedly strode out the room towards the elevator and Wang Mei closely followed him.

" I am here to support you.." Wang Mei spoke slowly after getting into the lift. The young man smiled a little on hearing her words " Thanks sis.."

On the top floor a man in his early fifties was busily going through the documents when he heard the door open with a bang. He frowned his brows slightly as he looked at his furious son who was rushing over followed by his solemn daughter.

" Father, why did you not tell me?"

The man seated in the chair had an aura befitting a king. Naturally, he did not answer the question and went back to look at the documents.

Wang Min pursed his lips as he stared at his father. He was always like this cold and unfeeling. He never understood how his mother loved this man in the first place.

When he asked his mother if she really loved him or if she was forced into this marriage, his mother smiled at him and the words she spoke had a deep impact on his heart " I love him for who he is and not every woman likes prince charming.."

After that day, he tried to look at his father in new light but he didn't find anything different about him. May be he was different with their mother, but with them he was always strict and he was a man of few words. May be it was his way of showing love.

But now he cannot forgive his father for not informing him. On seeing that his father had no intention of speaking, Wang Min made up his mind.

" I am going to Beijing."

Finally Wang Zen shifted his gaze towards his son " What if I don't allow you?"

" No matter what you do, I am leaving. I am just telling you out of courtesy." On the side, Wang Mei looked at both the men nervously. Her brother didn't know but he and their father resembled each other specially in terms of stubborn attitude.

Without waiting for his father to answer, Wang Min turned to leave the room.

" Why are dead set on your first love?" Wang Min stopped in his tracks after hearing his father's words.

He slowly spoke each and every word clearly without turning back.

" She's not my First love.. She's my only love."

After speaking those words, he left the room leaving his father in a daze and Wang Mei had a faint smile on her lips.

Wang Mei then smiled at her father who is poor in expressing his emotions " Are you convinced now father? Did he pass your test?"

" Hmm.. He did pass the test. Since, he truly loves the girl I will allow him to go."

" I know you would allow him no matter what.." Wang Mei chuckled before leaving the room.

" This little demon.." Wang Zen cursed under his breath with a faint smile on his lips.
