Great Ancestor Zenflame and Great Ancestor Rocksunder stared at Davis with frowns over their eyebrows. They definitely didn't think they were being rude or forceful here, so for Davis Alstreim to reject their terms, it could be said that they were disappointed, making them wonder if they did something wrong.

Looks like they would have to explain how important the Candidacy is to them that it can even be said that it is the reason for their existence if exaggerated. After all, they knew their destinies were more or less connected with that competition of the highest order.
