Reversing The Runes

Davis pondered for a while and came to the conclusion that he could only be punished once for breaking the limit imposed on all beings over the comprehension of Level Seven Abstruse Intent or similar intent. After all, even after he comprehended Level Seven Intent of Fire Laws by understanding the essence of heavenly flames, a heavenly tribulation didn't descend on him, making him think that people wouldn't be punished twice for a similar reason.

He broke the limit the first time and survived the punishment, leaving him free of this restriction. Either this or the heavenly tribulation realized that he was devouring its essence and no longer bothered to send him tribulations.

This was Davis's thoughts on this matter, not even knowing that something greater had happened without his knowledge.
