As they were making their way to the inn, Roman looked at Ori and asked.
"You planning on inviting him to join us?"
Ori glanced back at Roman as he replied.
"Who Bai?"
Roman didn't reply he just nodded in response. Ori sighed as he looked forward.
"I thought about it, but I decided against it in the end."
Sabo who was listening from the side couldn't help but ask.
"If you trust him so much, why not ask him to join the crew?"
This time it wasn't Ori to reply, but Benjiro.
"He's not suited to the life of a pirate."
Shaya looked at Benji and asked.
"What does that even mean."
"When they were being placed on trial earlier, you saw how calm he was right? It was as if what was happening had nothing to do with him…"
Shaya nodded as she was impressed by his ability to stay calm under those circumstances. Seeing her nod, Benji continued.
"Well there's a special technique that the Kitetsu family use for forging. It's a form of meditation called "Serene Heart", when used it allows the user to stay calm no matter what goes on around them. That was how he was able to stay calm earlier…"
When he heard that, Sabo interrupted him.
"That doesn't necessarily mean he isn't suited to the life of a pirate."
Benjiro smiled helplessly as he continued.
"If you had let me finish, you would've heard me say that although he was using that technique to stay calm before, when Tom had assaulted Spandam and Spandam ordered for his men to fire, Bai's aura turned flustered and he had to try especially hard to calm his heart. It wasn't till Ori came and put an end to the violence that Bai was able to calm down completely."
Sabo seemed to realise what Benjiro was implying when he said that.
"You mean…"
Benjiro nodded as he said.
"Yup. Bai Kitetsu is a wimp!"
It was then that Ori spoke out.
"As I'm not an empath I couldn't see the fluctuations in his aura, so I had no idea that he was a wimp, and if that was the only negative I'd still ask him to join us."
This time it was Benjiro's turn to be confused as he asked.
"Then what was your reason for not asking?"
Ori shrugged as he said simply.
"He looked happy where he was!"
Sabo frowned when he heard that.
"What's that supposed to mean? I was happy back in East Blue with Ace and Luffy, yet you still asked me."
Ori glanced at Sabo as he reminded.
"You were about to run out to sea by yourself when you got attacked by that World Noble."
Sabo then remembered that even though he loved his brothers and when he was with them he was truly happy, there was always this pit in his stomach as if he was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. With his parents being so close by he'd never truly feel as if he was free.
It wasn't just him. Shaya, Silk and Benjiro were all unhappy with their lives at the time when they met Ori. Benjiro let out a little chuckle as he looked at Ori.
"It seems I was overthinking!"
They carried on walking leisurely towards the Inn when Sabo asked.
"By the way, why was that Enel and his crew so weak? I thought they were able to fight Admiral Aokiji and still retreat with their lives. If Aokiji is anything like Akainu then they would never have been able to leave with their lives with that level of strength…"
Shaya calmly replied.
"Enel's crew is far from weak; Enel's strength is probably somewhat above even my own. As for why they were able to retreat from Aokiji safely, it was probably because the Admiral didn't know their abilities and suffered as a result."
Ori could see that Sabo didn't understand what Shaya meant and explained.
"In his best form that old man, Beliard is without a doubt the strongest person in the Raijin Pirates. In terms of statistics on paper, when he transforms he's about as strong as I am now, maybe even a little stronger. The only reason I was able to defeat him on Parch Island was because of his severe lack of actual combat experience, which resulted in him not knowing the best time to attack or defend.
But even so between his raw speed and strength, and the abilities of Enel and Urouge, escaping from an Admiral is far from impossible."
As he finished, the group of 6 finally arrived at the inn. After checking in, they all went to their own rooms agreeing to meet up in the morning to make their way to the auction house.
After arriving in his room Ori wanted to practice his Sword-Intent based calligraphy, but ever since Otohime left he'd found that his mind was preoccupied with thoughts about his little sibling. In his previous world he'd been an only child and even though he'd always wanted a little brother or sister, fate denied him of one. Now he found out he had one, well 2 if you include Roman's, but they were forced to live a life on the run with the World Government chasing them down!
[I swear wherever you guys are, I'll find you and make sure no one ever lays so much as a finger on you!]
He knew he was too distracted to practice calligraphy, so he sat cross legged and revolved his Heavenly Demon Sacred Art for a few hours before getting some sleep.
The next morning after getting ready, he went down and met the others outside the inn. After going for breakfast they made their way over to the auction house.
They were surprised by the sheer volume of the crowd of people waiting to enter.
Sabo looked at everyone and turned to Ori as he asked.
"With this many people will we even get in?!"
Just as Ori was about to reply he overheard the arrogant shouting of someone behind him.
"OUT OF THE WAY! Beast Pirates coming through!"
When he turned around he saw a giant long blonde haired man with 2 large white tusks facing outwards from his ears. Behind him were 10 individuals when compared to him were almost ant like.
[Kaido actually sent Jack of his 3 disasters, it seems he's serious about this auction.]
As Ori identified Jack, he heard an annoyed voice shouting back at the loud mouthed Beasts Pirate.
"Jack I suggest you tell your man to keep his trap shut before someone shuts it for him!"
The man who spoke was a tall and broad man with a shaved head. Beside him was an extremely tall and muscular man with short spiky crimson hair.
Ori recognised them as well. It was Big Mom's 2nd and 4th sons; Daifuku and Katakuri Charlotte.
Jack stared at the large Daifuku coldly as he said.
"I want to see if you dare to come over and shut my man up!"
Daifuku looked as if he was ready to attack when he was stopped by his older brother Katakuri.
"We can't start a fight with them, we're here for that!"
Daifuku wanted nothing more than to go over and teach the Beasts Pirate a lesson, but he knew Katakuri was right.
"Hmph, you're lucky. When this auction is over, I'll teach you some respect."
Jack looked indifferently at Daifuku as he replied.
"I'm waiting!"
Just as things seemed to be calming down, another voice could be heard seemingly trying to provoke a fight.
"And here I was looking forward to a fight between 2 titans of the New World."
When he turned around he saw a normal sized light skinned man with blonde dreadlocks wearing a cream robe with blue stars and a musket strapped to his back. Beside him was a large dark skinned armoured man with not only plaited hair but a plaited beard too. The man who spoke was the light skinned man.
[Yasopp from Shanks' crew and the 3rd division commander from the Whitebeard Pirates; Diamond Jozu. Whatever's on auction should be something extremely valuable for so many bigshots to appear at once.]
As he thought to there he heard Jack's cold voice once more.
"Yasopp are you looking for a fight as well?"
Yasopp shook his head indifferently as he replied.
"Haha who would want to find a monstrous man like yourself?!"
Even though his words were respectful, the tone of his voice was anything but. Jack glared at the sharpshooter who looked at him leisurely. In the end Jack refrained from attacking but said to himself he'd definitely attack after the auction.
After Ori saw Yasopp, he started edging through the crowd in his direction.
[Otohime said the fastest way to find Aunty Gaia was to find Rayleigh. Instead of going all the way to Sabody Archipelago, if I can get in contact with Shanks, as a former crewmate he should be able to get a hold of Rayleigh a lot faster.]
As Ori was half way there he stopped moving and sighed softly.
"Is now really the best time for this?"
As he said that he drew his sword and calmly raised it.
Clang!
A pitch black jutte was thrust out and heavily collided with Ori's black sword. As the weapon's met the impact forced everyone other than the rest of Ori's crew backwards who had sensed the attack and strong enough to resist the impact.
"Heavenly Demon, you got away from me 9 years ago but not today!"
Ori looked at the individual who blocked his path helplessly as he said.
"Smokey can we do this later, I'm a little busy!"
The man who attacked him was one of the Navy's Empyrean Trinity, Captain Smoker!
