'However, I can't use my demon powers. I only rely on my strength.'
Oh, great to know, Lyna was actually this fucking strong. Nice and very helpful.
Eric's face only blanked while Tom's jaw long hit the earth's core.
Eric patted Tom on the shoulder and said, "Don't question it. We should hurry."
Thanks to Lyna, this walking, fluffy cheat code, the hallway was barricaded immediately.
The three of them sat on the floor and took a break.
"So," Eric started to talk about their next steps, "We need to find out now how to kill Slasherman and then escape here."
Eric stared at Lyan who excitedly wagged her tail and lost all hope, yet he still asked, "What did you plan for Slasherman?"
'I wanted to make him OP!'
Eric wanted to cry. Don't do something this unnecessary! OP protagonist, ok yes, please make me OP! OP villain, fuck off! Are you sane in your little writer's brain? Go to hell and turn yourself in! Even the devil can't believe your audacity as a sinner!
'However, he has a weakness!'
"That's what we're talking about, tell me!"
Tom's concern only grew as he looked between Eric and Lyna but he kept quiet and only sneakily tried to pet Lyna who was distracted.
'He's obsessed with Timmy's soul because he needs Timmy to get out of here, so Timmy's the key. Also, he can't enter rooms because it's Timmy's only safe heaven.'
Eric wanted to curse this fact but thinking about it, it explained Slaherman's focus on Timmy and this could be used as an advantage. Also, Eric already assumed this but it was good it was reconfirmed. Slasherman couldn't enter rooms. These were two advantages he could use to bring down Slasherman.
"Ok, I need to kill Slasherman. So, we trap him in this tower to kill him but can I outrun him until we arrive here?" Eric was worried about his physical strength.
Luckily, Tom caught on quickly, "I can help you train."
"Train?" wouldn't this take up a lot of time?
'We can spare a week to plan everything and build up your stamina.'
"This isn't how it goes in films, I can't magically develop a sporty body with just a bit of training," Eric sighed before he realised he was the protagonist! Yes, the halo! The golden plot armour! The two strongest skills in the universe were on his side! He was the son of heavens!
"Ok, let's try. We use a week to train and plan," with this Eric decided everything.
And so, the dreaded week of physical torture started for Eric. Running up and down the stairs, the brainstorming plans, doing situps and other crap, Eric was truly exhausted. On top of that, there couldn't be too much noise.
Although they barricaded the hallway, who knew if Slasherman couldn't tear it down since he was a maniac and fucking OP according to Lyna.
The week passed by quickly. Eating only cup noodles wasn't very good for their health, especially Eric who had to train like crazy. Tom was just always amazed by Lyna, the dog slurping the noodles. Eric was too.
"Ok, we do it this evening," Eric went through the plan with everyone and steeled his mind. Walking to the barricaded entrance, they opened the middle spot for Eric and Slasherman to pass through.
"Lyna, stay here, you know what to do right? And Tom you go back to the room and wait," the room, Eric spoke of, was opposite to the hallway in a straight line, so Eric could run from the hallway straight into the room without any obstacles. Eric took a deep breath before entering the hallway alone.
Without Tom, Eric felt incredibly scared but forced his mind and emotions to be blank. After the dreaded ten minutes, Eric finally arrived back in the other tower lurking with danger. Initially, Eric planned to ally with the victims but since he couldn't find them and didn't want to, he stuck to his plan. He had to figure out where Slasherman was. Boom. Boom.
Eric's heart beat wildly, a storm was trapped inside his ears. In all of Eric's life, he had everything handed to him and lived a truly good life. He had a wonderful childhood with loving parents, was loved by his classmates and teachers and had brilliant grades without even studying.
Then when it was about time to go to university, Eric figured out his talent for editing, skipped uni and straight set up his company, from there on everything flourished.
So, for a person who never had to go through any hardships, Eric was proud of himself for enduring all of this fucked up shit since he was cursed to the Demon World. Not even the most hard-boiled person was able to go through this and mentally survive this black hole full of insanity.
So, Eric had every right to be proud of himself, especially now that he was trapped in a murderers' place with almost everyone wanting him dead.
As Eric perked his ears to listen to any sounds, he slowly made his way to the stairs up and down, trying to figure out where Slasherman was.
Not even a minute later, Eric heard the fear-inducing, familiar dragging of the axe. Eric shivered but summoned his courage and ran to the floor.
Lingering in the hallway, Slasherman had his back turned to Eric.
"Slasherman! Come!" Eric shouted.
WOOSH.
In an instant, Slasherman turned around and Eric felt a chill running down his spine. Nevertheless, Eric forced his buttery legs to move and ran to the stairs. With the heavy breathing and the axe that constantly swung at Eric, hoping to cut him into pieces, Eric has never tried so hard in his life before to survive.
Fucking death, fucking grim reaper, coming to greet him so closely!
Just stay where you are! Go away! Leave me alone! But Eric had to persevere! He needed to lure Slasherman to follow him to get rid of him.
The fifth floor gave Eric a better time, however, the most challenging hurdle came, running through the absolute black hallway with a madman behind him, Eric was afraid to stumble.
Yet, Eric bit the bullet and along the wall continued to run for his life while he heard the vicious sounds of the axe destroying the wall, hoping Eric's head would be under the blade.
"L-Lyna!" Eric shouted the moment he passed through the barricade with Slasherman behind him. Lyna was quick. Her little paws barricaded the hallway again before she ran after Eric into the room where Tom waited.
Just before Eric stepped into the room, Lyna bit Slasherman in the leg while Tom raced out and threw Eric a rope before Tom moved to tie Slasherman with another rope.
Eric kicked the axe out of Slasherman's hands before tying them.
"Phew," a nasty grin spread on Eric's face, "Our fate has reversed now. Beg for your life and spit everything you know out. Tell me the truth!"
Eric felt good. After almost losing his life, he could assert dominance again.
