The Hook (The Conflict) Kahani shuru hoti hai 1998 ki ek tapti dopahar mein, jahan ek gareeb kisan Brijesh Kaka aur gaon ke sabse ameer zamindar Ramanand ke beech panchayat mein bhayanak behas hoti hai. Ramanand, Brijesh ki garibi ka mazaak udate hue ek shart rakhta hai: "Tera beta kabhi 'Babu' (Engineer) nahi ban payega. Agar ban gaya, toh main apni moonchh katwa dunga." Brijesh is apmaan ko apne jeevan ka maqsad bana leta hai. 2. The Middle (The Struggle & Transformation) Agale 20 saal Brijesh Kaka ke liye vishal sangharsh ke saal hain.
