Have you ever heard of a chronically ill person being an adventurer? I certainly haven't. Follow Sarah on her journey as futuristic technology makes the impossible possible. Set in 2062, Sarah is a fairly normal 19 year-old girl. Well, she does have a long list of medical conditions and can't work, due to intense fatigue, or drive, due to dizziness. Other than that, she's normal. Sarah's limitations pushed her to the world of VRMMO gaming. Inside these virtual worlds, she is just like everyone else, normal. No one treats her like someone to be pitied and apologises whenever she tells the truth about how she's feeling. The only problem: her in game friend wants a real life meet up! No way is she going to allow it! They may live in the same city, but she will not allow her health in the real world to affect her relationships in her sanctuary.
"My pain isn't who I am, but it controls what I can do, and in this world, what you can do is a huge measure of who you are." - unknown If you saw Audrey Emerson, you would've thought that this girl was like any normal teenager. Yet, the more you get to know her, you realize she is dealing with things that no one should have to handle on their own. Can she handle it, or will she crash under the pressure. TW: this story deals with sensitive topics, like depression, mental illness, and eating disorders, which is why I am rating it mature.
