"This might be referring to the Battle of Yin Jin. In the early Warring States Period, after Li Kui's reform, Wei's overall strength far exceeded that of other vassal states. Wei State continuously attacked Qin State, causing Qin State to lose the land west of the river. Qin State's many counterattacks failed. In the 13th year of King An of Zhou (389 B.C.), Duke Hui of Qin mobilized more than 500,000 Qin troops to attack Yin Jin. On the Wei army's side, Wuqi requested for the Marquis of Wei to send 50,000 infantrymen who had not made any contributions to counterattack. The Marquis of Wei also sent 500 chariots and 3000 cavalry. Although these 50,000 Wei soldiers did not have any military achievements, they were all elite soldiers trained by Wuqi. The training of the Wei soldiers was tough, and the selection criteria were harsh. Once they became soldiers, they would be treated well, and the rewards would be extremely high. Facing the 500,000 Qin soldiers, their morale was high. They thought that this was a chance to be rewarded for their contributions. Wuqi judged that the Qin army was weak under the surface and issued a battle order to the Wei soldiers. In the end, the 50,000 Wei soldiers defeated the 500,000 Qin army. This battle became a famous battle in the history of China's war. It also made Wei a powerful vassal state in the early Warring States period. The novel "Battle of Yin and Yang" is equally exciting. Everyone is welcome to click and read it! "
