Hi! I just came across Seris Arc of the Grand Conquest of the Sola Galaxy: Book 1, and I was immediately hooked by the scale of the Sola Galaxy and the way Seris stands out as both a powerful Xenon-ranked mercenary and such a lively, reckless personality. Her contrast between intense training, battlefield discipline, and her carefree attitude outside combat makes her a really fun character to follow. I especially liked how the story builds the Teskara and its hierarchy while gradually leading Seris toward her first real campaign. The combination of massive galactic warfare, superhuman abilities, futuristic military organizations, and Seris’s energetic personality gives the story a strong cinematic feel. The upcoming deployment to Star’s End also feels like a great turning point for her character. I do manga style commission art, and I’d love to create artwork for Seris Arc of the Grand Conquest of the Sola Galaxy, whether it’s a character piece of Seris, her squad, a dynamic battlefield illustration, or a cinematic scene showing the Teskara headquarters and the vast Sola Galaxy. I like the apocalypse story, feel meh to the cultivation story, and actively dislike (maybe even hate) the “ancient battlefield” story. The pets are edging on cute, but cutting out the ancient battlefield (aside from memory reveals) is worth it. Not sure why the gate to ancient battlefield bothers me, but I really really really don’t like it. Maybe it’s too much destiny rather than a family preparing for the end of humanity. Maybe it’s the writing tone. I guess the author has a plan that needs the ancient battlefield, but I hate tying it to the present. I absolutely love the idea of a crafted spiritual space for a clan’s descendants! Strongly dislike the idea of a gate to the shared space of the ancient battlefield. The presence of the ancient battlefield as anything but a historical story immediately makes me want to drop the series. Sorry I feel that way as it feels like that’s the basis of the series.
