My brain broke when mc just seems to desperately want to save merle for reasons? Reasons that are not said in story, and reasons that wouldn't make sense anyways. Rick's group, which is also mc's group has already abandoned merle, grudge is already there. Is mc going to join/help merle in his revenge?? What is going on? I'm sorry, I'm just really struggling here. Point 1. Merle is unpredictable and crazy. Will cause a lot of problems with the group and people's safety. Point 2. Merle is racist, causing a lot of trouble with the group. ' Point 3. Merle has literal death grudge with group now :D:D Point 4. Only one I feel like is positive to some degree, though super easy to replace. He's mad dog that if controlled can be let loose on enemy. But again, you could just do that with normal people skilled in combat. Point 5. If merle is to be useful, you need to spend a lot of energy to control him. So actually, the positive is probably just not worth the effort.

This is one of the best TWD fanfiction I have read until now. The MC is smart and use the knowledge of the tv show to his advantage so that he and his companions can become stronger and safer. He starts recruiting the main characters because he knows that they are trustworthy people and deal with future treats in advance to avoid trouble. The only thing that I have to complain about is that there are a lot of mistakes with the gender of persons, like in one sentence someone is referred as him and in the next is as her. It can become confusing and annoying, but other times is simply somewhat comic. I laughed a lot how sometime Merle Dixon is referred as her. But for me, this story is captivating enough to ignore this small mistakes. Well, I would recommend that you give it a try.
