This is so good, Lyanna is always either a young foolish girl in love or a damsel. Arya has always been my favourite character, they both have the wolf’s blood and Ned always said how similar they are. I just coud never see Arya and by extension Lyanna being either a foolish love struck girl or a damsel. I love that she’s portrayed as an actual character and not just one everyone speaks of but doesn’t truly know or take her opinions into account. I also like how Rickard stark is portrayed, the stark are for the most part usually all beloved. We don’t see Rickard stark just know of his gruesome death but it’s nice to see what he actually was like. To makes us realise just how good Ned is in comparison. Rickard may have been a good lord but a terrible father. Also love the bits about Dacey, I don’t know why but I’ve always just loved her character and reading from her PoV in stories, which is quite rare. I love the explanation of her ‘bearblood’, that it’s her mother that is the bear and not her father. Especially that part of human making strict distinctions between men and beasts yet the children just accept a range, that there can be merges. You’re world building with the children of the forest and the heart trees is amazing. The whole part at the isle of faces was just so good. I love the explanation that the children don’t grow old but become the trees. Dijkstra is so entertaining and Tom was a pleasant surprise, I just love them. Can’t wait for more :)
