Plum blooms is (梅花, méihuā) is a type of flower that represents resilience & perseverance and it is admired for the ability to bloom in the harsh environments thus ut symbolising strength & hope in face of hardship.
A girl who watch her father and older brother goes off to war. Her brother never return but her father return crippled. They are farmers and she have to take care of her mother and a pair of twins siblings. Another war comes and the army demand a man from every family. She have no choice, she dress up as a man and enter the army. Many years later she return. All is at peace but inside her, the terror of what she see hunts her every night. She hears the drums beats overnight.
Till one day her general comes knocking on her door. They fall in love but it was not meant to be as he is from the upper class and she is the lower class. He soon married and she goes on to live as a farmer for her family. Until many years later, he return to her.
