Hundreds of years after the first appearance of the Beasts, humanity has reached a point of stability between civilization and the existence of Beasts of untold power. The story follows Rin, a 16-year-old boy in the Kingdom of Oston. Having lived in the Lower District all his life, facing unfairness in the quality of life in the Kingdom, he has adapted to keeping his head low and staying out of trouble. He's always believed that he has control over his life, even when living in the slums of the Kingdom. But when he is given unwanted power and responsibility, his life turns to a point where his actions are no longer just his own. Undesirably taken under the wing of a family of assassins, he is trained to become a killer under order. Now, having experienced life in the dirt and the life of luxury, can his master contain a killer who's had the best and worst of both worlds? Where does his loyalty lie? And what would one man do with power he can't contain? World The story is based in a fantasy world with monsters called 'Will Beasts'. One day, these Beasts suddenly appeared in the world, wreaking havoc on humanity. It wasn't until the first Beasts were killed that humanity discovered newfound potential, not only in combat, but also in technological evolution. When someone successfully kills a Beast, they can 'Bond' with the Beast's Will, gaining superhuman abilities and attributes. Depending on the strength and abilities of the Beast during its life, the 'Holder' of the Will gains such strength and abilities. With elements and attributes of all types, the potential one person has is limited only by their imagination, drive, and natural laws of the world.
