Synopsis
At a lavish masquerade ball, hidden behind silk and shadows, he shares one sinful, passionate kiss with a mystery woman—Portia Zira, a woman far removed from the polished circles of the elite. That single kiss ignites a fire neither of them can forget. What begins as a stolen moment soon turns into an affair—intoxicating, clandestine, and forbidden. Behind closed doors, they burn for each other, their connection too fierce to deny. But in Levi’s world of ruthless ambition and unrelenting scrutiny, love is a luxury he cannot afford… and Portia is a risk he’s never dared to take. As their secret spirals into something deeper, Levi must decide how much he’s willing to sacrifice for the woman he adores. And Portia? She’ll have to confront whether she can ever truly belong in a world built on appearances, legacy, and rules she was never meant to follow. How far will they go to stay together? And what happens when the truth refuses to stay hidden?

Tangerine Stone and the City of Doors

Tangerine Stone is an S tier trouble magnet with a hate for Tuesdays. Follow along as she joins a magic academy, makes friends with a brain slug, tries to understand her place in this new world, and hopefully flirts with some pretty girls. What to expect: GL, Tangerine is a big old disaster lesbian. All of the horny and no where to put it. No Harem or poly, Tang is a bit of a flirt, but if or when she settles down she is a *slightly* possessive one woman type of girl. This isn't really a Litrpg, but it gets kinda close, no stats but lots of collecting magic items. Tropes, yes! Its a portal adventure where Tangerine joins a magic academy, deal with almost Otome situations in a world that is discount MtG! How MtG? I'm being inspired by the cards but not the lore. There's no Jace hanging about here. I'm also shamelessly bringing in a lot of inspiration from other stuff I like! Super slow burn / slice of life. Each update is just another day, I picked this format because I have no plan, this a brain dead story. There will be some action and adventure hopefully some angst and drama too! Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer for tone. Weak to strong, kinda. More like unprepared to prepared. Single character first person focus, 99% of chapters will be from the perspective of Tangerine. I'm not going to say I will never do a different point of view, but it will be rare. No ai has touched this work, you can tell because of all the mistakes! Book one complete!

In a tap screech ghost story, the tap screech is scary because it often breaks the silence of the spooky setting. The tap sound is like an omen, a warning that something is about to happen. And when the screech follows, it's a sound that is so unnatural and high - pitched. It's a combination that plays on our fear of the unknown. We don't know what is causing these sounds, whether it's a malevolent ghost or some other supernatural entity, and that lack of knowledge makes it terrifying.

I don't think it is. Usually, such names and stories are created for entertainment purposes and not based on real events. There's no evidence to suggest it's true.

The cartoon car might screech to a stop because there could be an obstacle ahead, like another car or a big rock. It could also be that the driver made a mistake and hit the brakes too hard.
