short story vs novella

I loved this story. This short story could easily be expanded to novella or novel length.

This is not a novella, this is a whole world inside one novella, a very sad novella

(Since the 18th century, the term "novella", or "novelle" in German, has been used in English and other European languages to describe a long short story or a short novel.) Murasaki Shikibu's Tale of Genji (1010) has sometimes been described as the world's first novel, but there is considerable debate over this — there were certainly long fictional works much earlier. Fascinating novel, a bit short on chapters and slow-paced in development, but everything comes with time. I do like where this novella is heading, the mechs and combat techniques—unusual, yet intriguing. At times, it's downright enjoyable to read

I love this. It is well written and easy to follow. I enjoyed reading every second of this book. The world building is excellent and as someone who has read many translations of Chinese novels I was delighted to see the same wonderful writing could be done in a short story of novella format. Well done
