Confucianism and ConfucianismConfucianism was founded by Confucius during the Spring and Autumn Period. It was originally a school of thought and was one of the "prominent schools" during the Pre-Qin period. It was listed as the head of the "Nine Schools of Ten Schools" from the Pre-Qin period to the early Han Dynasty. "Confucianism" was originally a group of people who hosted funerals for wealthy families. Confucius relied on "Confucianism" to make a living in his early years. Later,"Confucianism" became the proper name of Confucius School. Confucians advocated "rites and music","benevolence","loyalty and forgiveness", and the golden mean. Politically, they advocated "rule of virtue" and "benevolent government", and attached importance to moral education and self-cultivation.
The concept of Confucianism was rather complicated. In terms of purpose and function, Confucianism, like other religions, taught people to endure hardship, accept social order, and abide by the law, thus ensuring social stability and maintaining the rule of the ruling class. This was one of the reasons why Confucianism was called Confucianism. From the perspective of historical development, the concept of Confucianism was born in the ritual and music culture of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties. Wang Chongyang, the founder of Quanzhen Taoism in the north of Jin Dynasty, proposed the concept of Confucianism in the "Three Religious Unification". However, it did not cause much response at that time. Four Buddhist monks in the Ming Dynasty once again proposed the "Three Religious Unification", which further developed this concept. From the perspective of the elements of the religious system, Confucianism regarded Confucius as the highest god (becoming a saint). The disciples of Confucius and the great scholars of the past dynasties were also in its system. They also shared some gods with Taoism. Its scriptures included the Four Books and Five Classics, as well as a large number of scriptures on rites and music, Shuo Wen, Yi Li, etc.
Orthodox Confucianism could also be called Confucianism or Confucianism. In the process of development, Confucianism constantly added new content. In different periods, there were different forms of development, such as the dispute between the ancient and modern Confucian classics in the Han Dynasty, and the Confucianism in the Song Dynasty. On the one hand, the orthodox position was constantly consolidated, and on the other hand, the content was constantly innovative. However, there were also those who believed that Confucianism did not exist, only Confucianism.

The 16 Words of ConfucianismThe 16-character mantra of Confucianism was 'The human heart is in danger, and the Dao heart is small; the essence is only one, and it is allowed to hold the tongue.' The general idea is that the human heart is unpredictable, and the Tao heart is in the microcosm. Only essence and one is the heart of the Tao heart. To maintain the only way in good faith, do not change, do not change their ideals and goals, and finally make the human heart and the Tao heart harmony, adhere to the center. This was what Emperor Shun warned Yu the Great. Ever since the Song and Ming Dynasties, the Confucians had paid great attention to it.

In the sacrificial system of Confucianism, there were gods such as the Emperor Heaven, God, Land and Grain, Sleeping Temple, Mountain Forest, Famous River, Stars, Ancestors, Wind, Rain, Thunder, Lightning, Lake, and Sea. Among them, Haotian God was also known as Huangtian God, Emperor of Heaven, God of Heaven, etc. He was the god who ruled all things in the universe. He was the supreme god of dynasties and Confucianism. He represented heaven or was equal to heaven. The king was regarded as the eldest son of Haotian God. His power was granted by God. He ruled the world according to the will of heaven and was called Son of Heaven. There were also the Five Gods, namely the East, South, West, North, and Central Gods. They were also known as the Five Emperors, the Five Heavenly Emperors, and the Five Heavenly Gods. Others like the North Pole (Another symbol of the Heavenly Emperor, the residence of the Heavenly Emperor, but later abandoned by Confucians), Big Dipper (composed of Dubhe, Tianxuan, Tianji, Tianquan, Yuheng, Kaiyang, and Yaoguang Seven Stars), Nandou (Composed of Tianfu Star, Tianliang Star, Tianji Star, Tiantong Star, Tianxiang Star, and Seven Murders Star), Seven Luminaries Star (Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Venus, Mercury), Twelve Chen (Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, Hai, have a certain corresponding relationship with the 28 constellations), 28 constellations (The 28 groups of stars near the ecliptic and equator are basically the same as the four spirits and 28 constellations of Taoism), Sizhong (the ancient god, opposite to Siming, on par with the wind master and the rain master, and later used by astrologers to name the star officer), Siming (the god in charge of human life in myths and legends), Feng Bo, Yu Shi (the wind god and rain god in China mythology), Empress Earth (the same as the Taoist "Houtu Huang Houtu"), etc. were also Confucian gods. All kinds of famous figures could also be regarded as gods of Confucianism, but they had to be recognized by the state and included in the sacrificial ceremony. Otherwise, they would be regarded as "obscene sacrifices." In terms of the sacrificial system, only the Son of Heaven could worship heaven, famous mountains and rivers, and all gods in the world; the princes could only worship the famous mountains and rivers in their own territory; and the ordinary people could only worship their ancestors except for the Kitchen God.

Interesting novel. Well written and translated and atypical in that the hero is a man but the background is the imperial court with all its complications and machinations. It may change but for now politics and smart moves are the focus while cultivation take a backseat. The cultivation system itself is quite original, with several disciplines, which are really different, not just fire or lightning, good or evil, all those clichés. You get sorcery with a progression of medicine, Feng Shui, alchemy... Confucianism where you end up dictating Reality with your words. Martial Arts is brutal and not that popular. It's fun and smart which makes it pretty unlikely to be chosen but I would be very happy to be proven wrong!
