I just dove into Secrets of Regulus Black, and I’m seriously impressed. The idea of transmigrating into Regulus Arcturus Black is such a refreshing twist on the Harry Potter universe. That opening scene with the Steam account and the sudden drop into the Wizarding World had me grinning. And the way you’ve reimagined Regulus as a key figure in Harry’s life especially with Sirius telling Harry to find “Uncle Regulus” if anything happens was such a touching moment. Absolute Gibberish. At the start of the story: Sirius Black is imprisoned, Regulus brings Sirius' son to the prison. Sirius raises his son in the cell in Azkaban. Somehow, his son manages to find all the requirements for an animagus transformation in the cell. Zero explanation for how any of this is possible. Also, Voldemort put a soul shard into Sirius son. Somehow. the description was that is came out of Regulus, which... what? Anyway, dont waste your time on this.

This is actually good! It is usually hard to fit a external character into the Black family and make it feel “real” but this is actually interesting and the world expansion is captivating! The family dynamic is so much fun to see while all the original characters have managed to remain true to their characters, which is something I appreciate. Not trying to force the characters into something else. But it is also nice that because of the addition of a new character we can see some growth in some of the characters from who they were in the original books. Like Sirius having someone who supports him and Regulus having someone to sheild him from the expectations of their mother without it being turned into a war. It makes it feel like Regulus and Sirius could actually turn out different but it won’t feel forced or unnatural to their characters here.
