The novel sets in the time of the Victorian era, where aristocrats rule the society. Theodore King was a son of a gardener and a cook to Lord Thompson and his family. When his mother accused Lord Thompson of killing her husband, Theodore's mother was sent to prison, making him an orphan. He then meets James Parker, and they became good friends. They eventually meet Dr. Walter Wright and became close friends. Unexpectedly, Dr. Wright decided to adopt the two boys. However, A fellow doctor murdered Dr. Walter out of jealousy. Theodore and James decided to live their lives as professionals with a secret that they belong to the poor and was adopted. Theodore decides to give justice to people who mistreat the lower class through assassination and robbery. He thought of living under the name "Vindicta," while giving out medical services for free under a different name, "Thomas." When he became the hero of the poorest in Britain, Inspector Samuel Hughes investigates the identity behind the murders of many aristocrats and leaves his initials, "V," on the chests of his victims. He meets Helena Robinson, daughter of Baron George Robinson and Lady Violet Robinson, at a gathering. They both fell in love while Helena was engaged to Lord Edmund Thompson. Theodore and Edmund compete for Helena's attention until Theodore learned about Edmund's past. After Helena discovers Theodore's secrets, she is willing to give up her title to marry him.

too confusing. where is luffy? or the other canon characters? how did blackbeard get his fruit already if nico robin was still at alabasta? why was blackbeard even at skypiea? lots of things don't make sense and writer doesn't clarify whether this is AU timeline or he just buttf**ked canon plot?
