Surviving by dreaming in the apocalypse
[A fictional Chinese apocalyptic text!]
Cold, blizzards, thunderstorms, scorching heat, floods, plagues, polar nights, earthquakes, tsunamis…Natural disasters came one after another. Where would humanity go?
The prophecy opened the curtain of the natural disaster, and the cycle was endless.
The chaos and order of the apocalypse, the strange people and evil spirits who walked out of the shadows, for Jing Ying, the world was wonderful because of the apocalypse.
[Chinese-style superpower, survival from natural disasters and dream exploration. The male lead is up to fate (most likely inhuman). The female lead is really crazy. Her three views are not normal. Good people should be careful.]
This story could have been great if the author didn't do anything they could to increase word count. whenever garp fights someone, it's the enemy looking down at him for being old, the surrounding side characters reacting at garp being old, another character reacting to the same thing, garp slowly approaching, author glazing garp endlessly, enemy attacks garp confidently, enemy have a inner monologue of his attack and why he believes he'd win, enemy thinking of how powerful he's been in other fights, multiple other characters reacting to the attack being used, reactions from multiple other characters, the attack hits garp, enemy is confident and proudly thinks of his success and why he thinks he's won, enemy openly goats about his victory, characters reacting and agreeing with enemy's thoughts, surprise garps fine, enemy's surprised, everyone's surprised, garp approaches again... slowly, enemy pleads, characters react, garp attacks, enemy defends and have a internal monologue, everyone reacts, garp oneshots the enemy with a single punch, everyone reacts. this single punch oneshot could take 1-2 entire chapters. Even during conversations, characters speak before having an inner dialogue about their own thoughts and why they said what they said, then people reacting to what they said. as an example, garp fights blackbeards crew, he kills everyone with 1-2 attacks, 5 crewmembers, 10 entire chapters to kill all five with 1 or 2 punches, and the enemy themselves only threw 1 or 2 attacks before instantly being killed by garp. there's so much glazing and enviromental reactions that the story gets nowhere. I repeat what someone accurately commented once, 1 step: 100 words, raises arm: 500 words, punch: 1000 word, everyone reacts to every single action:2000 words. overall tedious and annoying to listen to, I ended up forcing myself through the story and hoping the fight would end so the story could progress, only for another 1 punch fight to take up an entire chapter. I am very patient but this was just too annoying to listen to. the story was interesting... but was completely ruined by endless dialogue and reactions. I do not recommend this story.
