5 stars? Yes. The characters feels and reads the same as if they were themselves in the game. Kratos being the now strict but caring father, Mimir with his lightening the mood banters and Atreus who wants more acknowledgement from his father. They act like themselves not some impostors in some fanfics whose names are the only thing they have in common. Plot= not much yet since its just a few chapters. The progression whoever is good since it doesn't just throw it at your face in just 2-3 chapters. Because of Kratos lifestyle getting information about the world they are in is slow but Atreus first interaction with other people is a breath of fresh air from Krato's kill now ask questions later attitude. Also the world they are in is Danmachi. A world were there is a LOT of gods. So you can imagine what the old not so old Slayer of Gods is experiencing right now. Also he looks like his younger monster self while his son aged up a little. The story of a PTSD suffering war veteran with his son who never experienced civilization and their talking head in the city of adventurers and their Gods.
